DS versus EX doll BIG differences....

So... to my unpleasant surprise... I discovered that the doll I have is an EX doll instead of a Ds doll... so...what's the difference... since its basically the same company right? well... to start the EX doll does NOT have a hole in the head to be hang. That's a huge bummer... that's gonna make my choices for storage super thin... I think another difference was when I tried to order the S insert for it... it does not have a selection of inserts, so I got 2 of the same, which, are too small...

I'm not porn star material, but I use the doll with no insert, which doesn't have much of a texture... but its not bad either.... when I contacted John from ds to order the hanging kit, he told me the "chinese version"(EX) doesn't not have a hole in the head, only the dolls they make to "export" do... I don't know how many of you are into anime, but for me "chinese version=super poor quality" even when i know it might be just psychological, I cant help but feel cheated.... I hope there is no other big differences in quality of the doll, since to start, I ended up paying more for it, because I bought it from a re-seller, but, Its my first doll and my knowledge of dolls is still pretty limited.

That is pretty odd. Didn't the doll you order exist as a DS doll?
Did you order her from a TDF vendor?

No, I order the doll from aliexpress, at the time, I didn't know it was a dsdoll(ex) or what company it belong. I'm pretty sure the doll I order exist as a ds doll since the "hanging kit video" from ds shows the exact the same doll I have... with... obviously... a whole in the head...

Ahh, I see. That explains it then. The aliexpress guy probably buys EX dolls cheaper than DS dolls...

I have no idea about if and how the bodies differ though. I hope someone else can provide info.

I read that they operate under the name "EX Doll" in Asia due to some sort of copyright on the name DS Doll in China. As far as I know, they all come from the same factory in China, so should be the same in quality. By that, I mean that the silicone etc should be the same. It may be that a few of the options are different for the Asian market which is why yours is different.

The insert thing seems a bit strange though, but as I don't own a 145 I can't advise you there. Is it just too small or does she need her legs further apart/more lube? It's hard to fathom.

She is definitely DS though - 145 Nina Elf (her Asian name is Aoi) if you search, you'll find loads of pictures, you just have one that was originally sold for use in Asia.

I hope you don't end up worrying too much about this stuff when you should be enjoying her!

That is why I would have bought it through the Ds vender directly. Aliexpress dolls are usually cheap which is why i can't trust that site i only buy clothes at aliexpress they have great selection.

Buying from the MANUFACTURER directly is the best bet. As D.S doll does not really have too many vendors for the united states

You can still hang her without the head attached, you will need an M6 eyebolt.
Spare inserts can be ordered from DS Doll directly or from a DS vendor in your country.
Did you check how deep the hole in the head is? Maybe it is only a matter to remove some silicone covering the tube in the head.

Ex Doll - brand name in Asia
DS Doll - brand name Western Hemisphere

Same products same brand, same company some products are sold only inside of Asia, some products sold only to the West. Majority of 158-167cm are identical products just branded differently for the core markets which are China, Japan and Asia.

Good Example Walmat USA, ASDA In the UK same company different brand name.

I think it goes around where the eyes are... I dont feel confident to mess with the head, I think the ottoman its looking like the best choice for now. Thank you!
