I would be curious about seeing the insert and hearing about its difference from the earlier design. Would it be worth getting this insert with the old cavity design, or is the benefit more about the smaller cavity hole keeping it in place?

This newer insert closely resembles the 163cm version, taking on a completely red color and featuring a flat back compared to the rounded one included with 2017 models. I unfortunately never measured the size of the cavity entrance for my last 145 but this one is definitely smaller, the insert doesn't seem bigger than the one for my older version.

No problem, I'll post some pictures of the insert when I get home from work tomorrow.

For the breasts Sanhui has a massive advantage in feel; assuming the 168cm I owned is standard for their dolls with the jiggly breast option, the feel is soft and bouncy with their unique skin texture. Looks and feels great, and retains some good durability thanks to the textured skin. The DS breasts for non-evo models feel roughly the same across all models, they are soft but feel very similar to squeezing a foam stress relief ball made from soft creamy rubber. They can't really bounce or jiggle but are pleasant to touch.

Just by design Sanhui's looks and feels better in most ways if not all. DS isn't a bad doll to go to bed with but having a fixed, durable and well designed cavity makes Sanhui more satisfying to use. The DS 145 plus body is my favorite doll body, though I wish DS would give it the same silicone style as an evo doll so the breasts can jiggle realistically like the 167 evo.

Below are some photos of the full insert. I believe it's the same size as the 2017 model for the 145 bodies but has a slightly different design that helps it better stay inside the cavity and not fall out. A powerful suction effect when placing the insert in the cavity keeps it inside really well, though I'm not sure if it's the design of the cavity or the insert that has the biggest effect.

@Sate: Your first-hand impressions of the improved DS145 are very interesting to me since I considered this doll and still think about buying it (though I think I would like to try TPE for my next doll).

Questions:
1. How easy is it to remove the insert for cleaning and reinstall it afterwards?
2. Is the insert also silicone or is it TPE?
3. How do you reduce the shininess of the DS145's face: cosmetics or baby powder?

Thanks, Sate! The new insert looks like a mini version of the B type insert, which is my favorite but also a bit oversized for the DS 145 cavity. The opening may be a bit wider, certainly a little thicker. Too bad I recently bought these since ordering a new one will come with that high DS shipping fee. Sometimes I think we should team up and buy bulk inserts to split them between us to save on the shipping. Hard to justify it unless buying lots of things at once. How did they do the internal texturing for this one?

The cavity does appear a bit more fleshy and even shaped a little better to match the new insert. It's probably a combination of the two factors making a better fit overall.

- Removing and placing the insert is still fairly easy, never damaged the cavity on any DS doll owned doing it. Powdering the insert helps a good amount in doing this. All DS inserts are also made from silicone, and nowadays they are a little softer than the actual doll.

- For the current faces with the harder silicone cosmetics are likely the best way to reduce the shiny finish. Using baby powder may also work, though you'll want a thick one like a scented version. I haven't tried either way, I remove shiny spots on her face for photos using a retouch option when editing.

- The internal texturing compared to previous models doesn't seem to have changed, DS inserts use a light ribbing style that relies on texture over thick ridges. Feels good, though not the best, but you can always use other silicone inserts.

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to post this thread and videos. I recently purchased a DS145 as my first real doll (she is still being made) and after watching your videos I know I made the right choice. I can put my mind to rest, even though my credit card is still on fire.

I was watching your 2nd video, about the face being all shinny, I completely avoid that on mine by gently powdering some j&j cornstarch on her face with a make up brush. It gives her a mate finish, and also avoid the stickiness that comes with it.
