Re: Seam on H.R.
The argument here we have is regarding trim/no trim in conflict with skin texture. When there is no explicit skin texture. We would choose to have the manufacturer trim the line completely, with no doubt.silicon wrote:Ordoll have the best seams i have seen, have a look at this 167cm.

I have to admit that this doll in the photos shows better seam.silicon wrote:Ordoll have the best seams i have seen, have a look at this 167cm.
What a nice TPE doll.

Because it is silicone.MrEverything wrote:Why can't those seam lines be melted with a flat iron?
It won't melt. At very high temperatures it will degrade in it's chemical structure.
I have silicon baking moulds, they don't melt in the oven.

DS don't seem to have this issue (anywhere near as much as some silicone dolls).

To me, that should be standard modus operandi for every manufacturer. It really is very noticeable, especially if you are new to dolls, and haven't had time to be desensitized to it.Maviarab wrote:Or just charge an extra 250-500 for someones labor to trim and remove them properly. It can be done, it is just extremely time intensive with extreme care required.

Do you happen to know if DS also offer some sort of detailing or hyper realism?

I meant that as a means to contrast the pros and cons of each manuf. I also added an edit with a comment more on point.Maviarab wrote:Not to my knowledge no. But this section is not to discuss other dolls. I was merely bringing up a company that excels in removing them.
Sorry, if it seemed like I was trying to derail.

And the risk having this doll ruined.Maviarab wrote:Or just charge an extra 250-500 for someones labor to trim and remove them properly. It can be done, it is just extremely time intensive with extreme care required.

Just imagine the seam is totally removed, there is still some white scar differing from the flat skin around. I mean the track is in our mind whatever manufacturers do because it is always the most concentration. Is it?

Have you tried? Or some info telling that anyone tried? This method is not quite smart for some complicated parts of the body.garriola83 wrote:Anyone try using a woman's shaving razor to just remove it? Soaped up and very gently of course
