Doll Wig Maintenance/ Trick

Post by Love Fairie »

Dear all,

I happened to find this pretty useful link on how to restore your Doll's wig when things get too messy and tangled up, just get a bottle of Downy and the wig becomes practically brand new and glossy!!

Love Fairie...you rock! I think you just saved me a ton of money! I was just about to clean out my older wigs and replace them with brand new ones. I'm gonna have to try this method first! :glou:

This is a very old method, and although this may work to some degree, I think for badly tangled wigs that a curly, is to toss them. This method will de-curl them and make them frizzy and not too good. For straight hair, this is ok. Now I use a silicone detangler spray, and is what most people use, including my wife, and I too use it with some success, but I still throw away wigs that are curly and become seriously tangled.

Also, if the doll is staying in bed, use a short bob wig so that can be easily combed out, and leave the expensive wigs for photo use
