Hunny Bunny's (Rose) Knee Replacement

Hi Kids!

My poor sweet Hunny Bunny had her knee joint break off a month ago. I finally got her new knee joint from BD. The new one looks to be a bit better and thicker metal. The new one is on the right.

I got the old joint out, but the piece was still up in her thigh bone.

Poor sweetheart was anestitized and was bearing the awful ordeal quite well.

I had to really contort her leg to get at all the little allen screws in the side of her thigh and shin bones.

There is a lot of oily type crumbs of silicone all over the place. Need to keep things clean. After removing the piece from inside the thigh bone, I am ready to get the new joint into place.

Getting her ready. More severe contorting. Good thing her silicone is so flexible!

There! Whew!! All in there and tightened up. It was pretty gnarly to do! The first time I have done surgery. My poor little precious sweet heart.

Now she can rest and we will do the gluing up of her wound tomorrow.

Very nice! Congratulations on a successful operation, doctor! Looks like you had to be very precise in making the incision right on the seam.
