I've always wanted a JM 142 since they were first introduced. My wife was ok with mini dolls, as they seemed more like just sex toys to her. The idea of a full size one freaked her out when I was picking out my first one several years ago. As such, I have 4 dolls that are 80cm or shorter. Recently, we had a lot of tragedy in our lives and we seem to be buying things to make us happy for the time being. She softened up to the idea of me getting a full size doll. I decided that it would be fun to let her pick one for me. She picked out an $8,000 Real Doll. Well, we didn't want to get in a bunch of debt. So we started going through posts on the forum here and she really liked Mishka's photos of Jasmyn.

I place an order on February 25th. John is a really nice guy and super helpful. We discussed options and pricing on accessories and such. I asked for freckles on the face, he painted them and sent me a preview picture to see if I liked them, I did. I placed final order on Feb 28th and sent payment via Paypal. John said he would ship my doll out once Paypal clears payment.

March 9th I got my tracking number. John had some troubles as Fedex returned his package saying that they had inspected it and that it would not pass Chinese customs. So he sent it UPS.

I must admit, with all of the discussions about customs going around on the forum, I was nervous. I followed the tracking info constantly. Fedex went from China to Japan to Hawaii then California. This time, UPS sent straight to Alaska, then to Kentucky. I was very glad to see:
03/14/2017 7:49 A.M. The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / Your package was released by the clearing agency.

However, the package sat there for 30 hours. My imagination went crazy. Finally shipment continued on it's way and I received my package on 3/16.

UPS very graciously waited until it was dinner time, when my wife happened to have her friend over and my teenagers where in the living room, to finally show up. The box was very big, way bigger than I expected it to be. Of course, my kids kept asking what it was. I left it just inside the doorway while I went outside to smoke. This gave everyone a good long time to pause the movie they were watching and to discuss my mysterious package. When I came back in the house, with all eyes on me, I said nothing and slowly dragged the box down the hall to my room. I heard my wife's friend ask what it was. My wife answered "It's a full sized Freddy Kreuger." Strangely, that was the end of the discussion. I returned to our dinner and guest where we continued watching Guardians of the Galaxy in 3D. I wanted to wait for my wife before unboxing, as she was excited to be part of this moment. (My how things have changed since my first covert purchase of a mini years ago.)

After my wife's friend left (finally!), my wife and I hurried to our room to open the box.

Circled is the Fedex empty packing slip, empty because it ended up being shipped UPS.

I ordered the doll stand too. This was great for packaging, as the regular sized doll box was packed inside of a larger box. The larger box contained the parts for the stand, sandwiched between rigid foam. This added more safety to my prized shipment. Both of these boxes are very heavy cardboard too.

After removing much packing foam, I carefully cut open the inner box to find the doll in a sitting position. I really like this position for shipping, as it allows the joints to move if the package is bumped on the ends, instead of a rigid skeleton taking the full impact. She was also heavily packed all around.

I took her out and put her on our bed. You guys on this forum were not kidding about full sized dolls being heavier. This doll is one of the lighter silicon metal skeleton ones, being 142cm. I'm glad I chose a smaller one, as i need more experience before ever moving up to full sized, 80lb ones, if that ever happens that is.

My wife checked her out and made sure she was a good kisser. She also picked one of the 3 wigs she liked best, placed it on the doll's head, put it in a pony tail and added one of her own pink head bands. It was getting late, so we found a safe place in the closet for the doll to sit, and turned in for the night - while trying to think of names for her.

I ordered a LimoStudio Photo Video Studio Light Kit from Amazon as I figured it's time for me to try to learn photography instead of only relying on my cellphone. Today, I managed to get it setup and have a small photo shoot. Here are ones that didn't look as crappy as the rest of them:

Hi everyone! Nice to meet you. My name is Bridgette.

Are these pictures too big? I'm still learning how to post photos from the doll album.

Okay, this one deserves a bigger picture! Right?

JM has really done an outstanding job on this doll. These boobies actually jiggle back and forth when you swivel the chair she is sitting in. My wife really likes them too.

I was so into trying to get a good pose, that I forgot to make sure that the background covered the entire frame. So, I had to black out some of the pictures hanging on the wall to the right.

In this one, I forgot to hide her neck seam with her hair.

I must say, having a non-mini doll is a totally different experience. Since she is almost the height of my wife, has a bit of weight and a jointed skeleton, with poseable fingers, she seems more like a real woman. We also got to go shopping for actual clothes at a store, where my wife picked out some workout clothes for Bridgette. I think this will be a lot of fun, trying to figure out what to do for photoshoots and such.

Thanks for reading.
PastyDude.
