hey, thought i'd stop lurking around and introduce myself.

Being a 19 year old girl who doesnt own a realdoll I suppose I dont really fit in too well..and may not have a great deal to contribute. But I just wanted to say hello to everyone and share my appreciation.

I have always been deeply fascinated with the female figure, erotica, sex, and Japanese 'cute culture'. And I found that for me, these dolls seem to encapsulate all these things.

As a photographer I also find the dolls immensely visually stimulating - their glassy wide eyes...flawless skin.... yum.
I would love to have the opportunity to photograph them, but I've been feeling a bit reluctant to ask after discovering the how overwhelmed this community already is with journalists/film makers greedily wanting to create negative documentaries.
But if anyone from the UK is interested I'd be hugely appreciative.

Welcome!! you dont have to have a doll to fit in this fourm...this forum is for doll admirers as well as owners....there are lots of folks who dont have dolls that contribute regularly...... a lot of us joined before we got our first doll....I did.

As CJD said, you fit in here even if you're only an admirer of dolls. Nice to have you come out of lurking and express your interest. I've been doing more lurking than posting here lately, so I know how that goes.

I hope you find a way to satisfy your photo desires. As you can tell, if you've been to the Doll Album, a lot of people like taking pictures of their dolls. It's been a while since I've added any pictures, but I haven't felt any creative juices flowing in that area for quite some time. But, I'm coming up on my doll's first aniversary in a few months so I'll have to come up with something for that event.

Glad to have you along for the ride with us. As one who does not own a doll yet it sometimes seems like you have nothing really to add, but your own unique life experiences are what you add. You never know what little piece of information you may have that can help explain something or know where to get something particular for dolls in the non-doll world. Also just having another person to bat ideas around with is not a bad thing, and honestly another ladies perspective is a good thing I feel.

I haven't been a member here all that long myself, and I don't have a doll yet either, but you will find a lot of really cool people here . I got a laugh out of your mention of getting carried away and it being 4:00 A.M. I think the first time I started looking at the doll albums and reading the forum, I was at it for about eight hours straight! I couldn't believe I spent the whole day doing it...but it was great! Now, I just can't wait to get a doll of my very own to share pictures of. Oh well....someday .

Lots of people haven't got dolls, here. Some have them on order, some are saving and some are still interested but uncommitted as yet. Non-doll owners can contribute a lot to this forum, and I'm in that category. BTW is that you in your Avatar?

Oh, and I know the feeling of spending "too much" time here, but it has been good time.

I know one person here in Germany, who rents his realdoll overnight and would not mind if You just photograph it - but that guy has commercial interest in the issue, the rent not cheap. Not sure if there is someone similar in the UK.

yeah I suppose I'm quite lucky to have such pretty friends to model for me, however they aren't too willing when it comes to more provocative/erotic work
(hence my longing for a doll of my own to play around and pose with. then i can spend all day long peeking up her skirt like a little girl with her barbie )

ps. I visited the USA for the first time a couple weeks ago. stayed in new york for 2 weeks - insane place but i fell in love with it and will definitely be back soon!
