Living Dolls Documentary to air soon

Friends,

Not sure how general the word on this is. This documentary was partially shot at the 2012 East Coast Doll Meet in Hershey. It is going to air soon (in Canada specifically.....and hopefully soon here in the U.S.)

Wow, that does look interesting! Too bad I don't live in Canada

Hopefully, the folks making the documentary will make this show available for purchase online - I'd buy one.

Looks like the company (Makin' Movies) does make some of their docs and films available for purchase for private use for the USA! I'm especially interested in the portion of the film that focused on the guy with the life size love doll.

Still looking for the interview with the church deacon and president of the commerce bank who has a sex doll so he and the wife can have some kinky 3some sex. Of course no pillar of the community would do such a thing!

Midiman does. If it gets shown in time count on him to not only tape - er - record it, but bring a copy to the next meet to show it.

Ive seen a doco once on foxtel about life size doll's & guy's, 1 guy in England, 1 in Japan & a few in the US... I found it very interesting on how they go about their life, as the camera was there most of the way. How they treated & cared for them really had me going, I was intrigued & that was in 2011-12, now I find myself in the same seat....

I am one of the kooks you are referring to - the married man. But since I was interviewed in the doc I have ended my marriage with my wife who was not fond of the dolls, hit the dating scene for three months and am now engaged to be married again to a woman who is a generation younger than my ex, is not paralyzed from the waist down, loves my dolls as much as I do...AND... she is even appearing in media with me and will be attending the meets. The gods have smiled upon me. I must have pushed a kid out of the way of a speeding bus in a previous life

I just finished watching it! I thought it was very interesting. You don't need a TV! You just need a computer and you can watch the streaming version. I especially liked the segment on the Hershey, PA Doll Meet as I've heard of it on the TDF. The B&B owner seems really understanding and tolerant of the doll community which is great

That's a great place to have the Doll Meet in a friendly, non-judgmental environment.

I imagine mainstream society viewing this documentary would view any and all of the doll owners as kooks but that's fine with me. I'm not living my life to please mainstream society. I am who I am and I like dolls.

I would highly recommend this documentary for TDF members and as I mentioned you can go the link in the initial post and view the streaming of the video. It's about 40 minutes interspersed with commercials.

I don't want to spoil the video for anyone who watches it but in general I thought it presented a fairly honest and non-opinionated view of dolls.

Good vid; I like the way the stories were intertwined.

As far as our particular sector of the doll community,
I liked the representation; it had a melting-pot feel to
it and it was honest. Thanks.

I appreciated that the filmmaker kept in the part where
Fox clarified that he thought responding to the sex question
was ungentlemanly. I totally agree.
While I felt the question of sex with the dolls was too direct,
it is not to be unexpected in future interviews.
You could have said:
"No, I've never had sex with the doll, but I have experimented
with the sensation of the vaginal insert by probing the interior"
and leave it up to them to figure out if the insert was in place
at the time, and what you were using for a probe

Or you could have said "Ring-ding-ding-ga-ring-a-ding-a-ding" - sorry, couldn't resist.
