Since a lot of people have different opinions between insert and built in, which does make it hard to choose if you have never been with a sex doll. May I ask then is it really a lot of work or easy ways to clean up with the built in?

My opinion is, if ease of clean up is a significant concern, an insert is the way to go. There's a zillion ways to go about things with an insert design.
笑. It's good for you.

I have experience with a built-in flat backed torso and an insert DS. I have a tub with a spigot and a hose, which made cleaning the FBT relativly easy. I would imagine with a full sized doll and no facility like a tub with a hose and spigot, the process would be a bit more involved.
With my DS 168, I am glad to have the insert. Just clean the insert in the sink and dry. The insert also allows me to change between different styles and types of inserts to achieve various tactile feelings.
I hope this has been some worthwhile feedback. Good luck with your choice.

To clean up after cumming in a built-in, I use the following method after I shoot my last load in her for the day:

1. Get 1 bucket of soapy (Dawn) water, 1 bucket of rinse water, 1 turkey baster, 1 micro-fiber towel, and 1 wooden spoon.

2. Angle the doll off the edge of your bed at a 45-50 degree angle over the bucket of soapy water on the floor.

3. Use 1 arm to hold the doll in position, while you use your other arm to use the turkey baster to shoot soapy water flushes into the pussy cavity. Flush 12-15 times.

4. Same as #3, but you use the bucket of plain rinse water. Flush 12-15 times.

5. Place the doll back on your bed with legs spread.

6. Drape the micro-fiber towel over the wooden spoon, and insert into the pussy cavity.

7. Withdraw the wooden spoon leaving the towel in place inside the pussy cavity. Leave the towel in place for 10-15 minutes to soak up as much moisture as possible.

8. Remove the towel, and spread the dolls legs so the pussy cavity is "open".

9. Place a small fan in front of the pussy cavity for about an hour.

10. When thoroughly dry, re-powder the interior of the pussy cavity.

Yes. It is more work to clean up the built-in but after you have gone through this process a few times, it becomes routine. If you are going to cum in your doll multiple times in a day, then a fast rinse and towel wipe is good enough in between cummings. Just make sure that you go through the full process before you put the doll away.

When I am more in the mood for a quickie one-shot session, I will use one of my insert dolls to save time.

Its all great info. I am leaning more towards an insert but I am just worried that with an insert I will end up with problems like I have read here and other forums.
Which would remind me of my EX :shakefist:

I would love to go with the built in but I am worried about it wearing out or expanding over time.

In 1.5 years, the pussy on my built-in doll has indeed expanded some but not too much. She is definitely not as tight as when I first received her, but she still gets the job done.

If you decide to go with the insert option, never leave the insert in the doll when not in use for an extended time. If the cavity is at all damp, leaving the insert inside is asking for mold.

I'm surprised that so far in this thread, no one has mentioned femidoms? As far as I'm concerned they are a godsend to us doll owners, I've been using one with my built in gal for months now, i just washed off the lube on it and use vaseline to ease it in then your water based lube inside it. Dead simple and they can be reused loads, We still go bare back on bath days though as a treat but to be honest, personally I find the femidoms a lot more comfortable then your usual condoms.

Yes. If you don't mind the feel of condoms, a female condom is definitely an option.

First of all I have an insert version.
Reading the "TPE-Care with mineral oils" thread it says that Vaseline is taking good care of TPE as well.

What do you think of leaving the insert in the doll permanently and whenever I want 'having quickies' using a condom lubricated with Vaseline? It would be having fun and same taking care of the doll :)

Can I run into problems on the long run by this?

A couple years ago I accidentally left an insert in a WM125cm in the Summer months for about a week. When I returned home, the cavity was showing a multitude of mold spots. Therefore, I recommend against keeping the insert in the doll when not in use. It is possible that this problem was due to an older TPE mix from WM, but I would recommend against taking the chance. I was only able to get rid of the mold by leaving 100% strength bleach solution in the cavity for 48 hours.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, mold could be the most dangerous thing I guess. But I for sure would first lubricate the insert with lots of Vaseline (keeps away humidity) on the outer side before putting it in place.

Next to this, could the additional volume in the cavity add any damage over time?

Slightly off topic: YL dolls seem to have a larger pussy opening. Can any YL doll owners verify if this is true? and I think TPE doll makers should try the American approach and make a plan canal opening without lips and make an insert that has attached vulva/pussy lips. This would solve the entry problems and they look great too. This is how Abyss and the other American doll maker handles this issue. They could then offer different designs/styles/sizes. I once had a PIB with a plan insert without lips and it had its issues. I solved the problem by ordering a new set of pussy lips and glued them to the insert. They worked great a looked awesome. Of course we can't do that with tpe. Or has any one tried?

That sounds like a good plan.
