Can you cover light stain with make-up?

Post by DrSakamoto »

I stupidly tried some (washed) black clothes on Kim last night and they have darkened her skin a bit. I’ve tried washing off, but without any luck....I’m thinking of putting some bronzer or something over the stained area. Just wondering if anyone has tried this?

Stains like that will fade naturally after a couple of weeks. Some dark stains take a little longer. There usually is a stain remover cream that comes with a new WM lady but if you haven’t got any get some acne cream that has Benzoyl Peroxide in it as the active ingredient. It usually comes in a tube as 5% w/w gel. Rub it into the area and leave for at least 24hrs and reapply if necessary. I left my Vivette for about a week and some pretty bad staining from a leather skirt disappeared after that!

Good luck, Hollows.

I can attest to the success of this. Don't bother with the peroxide toothpaste treatment, use acne cream with benzoyl Peroxide. And ignore the naysayers about this being something that can hurt your doll. Occasional use is fine as I've personally done it many times with no damage at all. It simply works.

I think it probably is ok although it doesn’t actually say benzoyl peroxide on it. I just got mine at the local chemists! It won’t do any harm though so worth a try! It doesn’t smell that nice and does leave a sort of white film which you’ll have to wash off before dressing her again.

I had some dark stains on an arm, hand and under the breast from dark cloths on my TPE tanned skin gal, I was in panic mode but after reading the post from hollows + fentiman I went out and found some acne cleanser with 5% benzoyl peroxide. It works great!
Thanks TDF

I’m glad it helped TRI-POD! I must say, it was the late Crazy Cajun that came up with that remedy and we miss him for all his help and enthusiasm for dolls!

Cheers, Hollows.

It should do! It’s the peroxide part that does the ‘bleaching’ action but I would imagine the benzoyl part allows it to interact with the TPE more easily owing to the manufacturing process using hydrocarbons.

Cheers, Hollows.
