Unboxing of my WM 163c

Some pictures from the unboxing of my doll today.
First there was the shock of the neckbolt and part of the neck piercing through the box.
Result of bad packaging and instructions on the package.
Only a small arrow which points to where the feet are. But is it up?? or down??

Very nice. I’m glad yours arrived safely. What’s this about a new neck bolt??
I wasn’t told of this when I ordered mine. She arrived Thursday.
I should’ve been informed there were options. How does it work?

I didn't know that either.
You can push the head on the doll, does not have to screw

I also altered the screws in the feet.
Slightly off color. But I am satisfied with it for now.

Hadleigh and I are relieved to see that your new doll wasn't seriously damaged in transit. She's a real beauty. This seems to happen a lot, so I wonder if some of the people who transport the boxes tip them upside down on purpose just to be pricks? I don't know, but I'd be horrified to find that my new doll's neck bolt had broken through the box. Hopefully, manufacturers can figure out a way to safeguard dolls against improper transport practices.

Congrats on the new doll. Glad she arrived safely despite the neck going through the box.
She looks great, i especially liked the curly wig picture. Any problems with moving her around?

Well she's heavier as advertised. 38 kgs instead of 32 and thats a big difference.
I think I have to go to the gym or buy a wheelchair and a chairlift

This morning my daughter and grandchild visited her.
She's on the couch in the livingroom now, waiting for the rest of the family.
They will meet her this afternoon and tomorrow.

She is wearing a decent onesie, as you can see in the picture.

Her breast looks wonderful, perfect size, and very natural.
She is so cute with the onesie.

What a nice lady, glad that she did not get a serious injury from her travel.
Nice idea with the bolts. Color looks perfect. How did you do that?

She hasn't a name yet.
My children gave me some options, tomorrow they will all be here. Maybe we will vote for a name

But I think it will be Iris.

I colored the bolts with acrylic paint and some layers of varnish.
I'm a hobby painter, portraits, animals etc.
Just mixed some colors for the right skintone.

Shipping needs to be improved! Must have been shocking seeing the neck bolt poking out.
Why can't manufacturers simply add appropriate LABELS ? Another " cheap fix" is to simply have a piece of cut Luann board (6x6 X 1/8) installed? It's CHEAP and wright is neglegable.
ARE THERE ANY MANUFACTURERS READING THIS?

How is her weight? Is she easy to move about? Enjoy!
