Weekly summary 52/2018

Post by Dollstudio »

Hi,

with this post I'll be starting to try out a new format to accomodate for the recent changes on TDF.

In one weeky post, I will be summarizing what's going in the doll world - as far as we at Dollstudio are concerned.

1) New arrivals.

Last week, we had two new doll arrivals: For one, Irontech's IT-163/B body style, and the "D" cup variant OR-167/D of OR Doll's tallest doll so far.

Also, there were a couple of new head releases, including Anya and Jane from Irontech, and Nora (Jinsan no. 261), Madison (Jinsan no. 249) and Georgia (Jinsan no. 216) from OR Doll.

And of course, there also were a couple of new body styles and heads from not TDF-listed brands.

You can follow the latest updates in our Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/DollStudioEU

Also, we the New products listing on all three Dollstudio websites. It is sorted in reverse chronological order, so the latest additions to our portfolio are on top of the listing:
On Dollstudio EU, there is also the New arrivals timeline http://eu.dollstudio.org/timeline with a slightly different display style. Though, it does not yet look the way I want it. But at least the raw data is there.

2) Latest blog posts.

Our daily blog posts feature mostly new photo sets, showcasing dolls and heads in various configurations.

Among some other things, we have posted these new picture series during the past week:
  • OR Doll OR-160/H body style and ›Teagan‹ head (Jinsan no. 138)
  • Irontech Doll IT-158 body style and ›Jane‹ head
  • OR Doll OR-156/G body style and ›Dulce‹ head (Jinsan no. 261)
  • Irontech Doll IT-163/B body style and ›Anya‹ head
  • OR Doll OR-167/G body style and ›Nora‹ head (OR-032 / Jinsan no. 261)
These posts are mirrored on the Latest blog posts section all three Dollstudio websites. It is sorted in reverse chronological order, newest posts on top:

3) Other topics.

Behind the scenes there are some talks with new manufacturers. Usually, it's only TPE in new variations of things we already have from other TPE brands. What was new in the past weeks is that these newcomers are now silicone manufacturers. I am not sure yet where this will go, but silicone is not dead yet. Actually, quite the opposite - in China and also over here in Europe, silicone is increasingly being considered as an alternative to TPE - again. At least for me this is quite thrilling as I am missing technical innovations from TPE manufacturers. Maybe some competition with freshen things up.

Last but not least, Indigo is currently finalizing some new products which will be introduced in the beginning of 2019. These new products will focus on care & repair of TPE dolls, but some will not be limited to TPE.

The OR-160 was completely not on my radar. That is an beautiful fuller doll body. And that Teagan head is quite cute. Really nice photoset.
BTW why are there different names for the Jinsan 261 head? It made me doubt my mind for a short time cause I thought that should be different heads.

Actually, TDF is also in touch with a China-based manufacturer of silicone dolls. This really looks interesting, but we are still in our first step of verification.
