NEW: Cold-welding TPE & TPR diffusion adhesive (CWA)

Post by Indigo20 »

Dear community members.

The new cold-welding TPE & TPR diffusion adhesive is out now.

Please check the following websites from Dollstudio for
- information
- hazard and precautionary statements
- videos
- download of the handbook

German:
http://de.dollstudio.org/node/1370

Europe (english):
http://eu.dollstudio.org/node/5155

US:
http://us.dollstudio.org/node/5094

The cold-welding TPE & TPR diffusion adhesive is available from these TDF vendors:
- Dollstudio
- DollsFrance
- Booty Call Dolls
- Mon Amour Toujours

What to do first:

Please download the handbook and watch the short video clips.

The handbook comes with 34 pages, more than 70 pictures and has the following structure:

I. General information
II. The cold-welding TPE & TPR diffusion adhesive
III. Properties of TPE & TPR in normal condition and under material stress
IV. Preparatory actions
V. Application examples
· Part A: Repairs without material tension
· Part B: Repairs under reduced material tension
VI. Post-processing
VII. Measures for mistakes / The "10-Second-Rule" / Cured diffusion adhesive
VIII. Summary

Take the 25 minutes it needs to read the handbook.
This will answer all your questions and it will encrease your knowledge about TPE repair.

The "main message" of the handbook is:

"You are the one, that has to open the incision manually for applying the diffusion adhesive inside the incision"
> automatically given if the TPE material has no material stress
> if the TPE material is under stress, reduce the material tension so that the incision is closed > you have to open it manually

Therefore, please pay attention to the handbook section:
III. Properties of TPE & TPR in normal condition and under material stress

Here you get the explanation how TPE reacts and how you have to deal with it.

The "second message" of the handbook is:

"Take your time and do the repair in several work steps"
You can see that on the repair examples.

Additional recomendation:

Please pay attention to the handbook section:
IV. Preparatory actions

There you see that a good preparation is the half way to full success.
And you see additional useful equipment.
Modeling tools with round tips, suitable for pushing down and moving material carefully.
Medical instruments like hooks and spatulas, suitable to open incisions in areas you are not able to do that with thumb and forfinger.

Production:

It took me 1,5 years for developing the diffusion adhesive.
My focus was always on
- high quality solvents and compounds with the lowest hazard and precautionary statements because afterwards you are in contact with the TPE doll / TPR product
- additional unique modification components
- liquefying + additional polymer structure building instead of brute dissolving

The production itself is very complicate and takes several days.
During production, I have to monitor exact timed and coordinated operations.

I'm very happy that this hard work has now resulted into a fantastic and unique product.
Made from a doll owner for doll owners.

Summary:

If you are following the steps explained in the handbook, you will have 100% repair success with 100% welding result.
The weld itself lasts forever.
If under material stress, it happens first that the original TPE starts to crack and not the weld.

You can not compare the cold-welding TPE & TPR diffusion adhesive with other products or maybe with bad experience you made in the past.

With the current status, this hand made and high quality product is worldwide unique.

Thank you very much for your attention.

With kindly regards,
Indigo

When will it available again ?? It's sold out on all site's. :(

Hopefully i can do a good repair on Timea's body if WM still refuses to help me to replace my 157b body that broke down again. Ther TPE glue failed again and again and now the damage is even worse then ever.

As last solution this cold welding operation can finaly stop tearing further to save her body from even more damage between her legs and intimate zone. A large tear occured by massive TPE glueing in the past weeks. Thanks To WM for that wonderfull solution !!! I'm even more fucked rightnow then i was last november.

It's worth a try as long as the damage her body has now can be stopped instead of that it gets worse by the week.

@ Fantastic Plastic & Dutch Dance Maniac:

The status "sold out" is a created status.
The past days I was only sitting in front of the computer informing and sending all necessary documents and information to the vendors mentioned above.
And a "new wave" of emails from doll owners, that had harmed / destroyed their dolls because of "recommendations", self made experiments, chemical warfare on the skin of the dolls, etc. is filling my email account.
People are also asking me questions that are already answered in the handbook of the diffusion adhesive.
And a special situation with new dolls from SM Doll needs deeper investigation.
I do my very best, but I can do only one thing at the same time.
(it is now 4 o'clock in the morning)

@ Dutch Dance Maniac:

Please show me detailed pictures from the location that needs to be repaired.
Do the pictures with the doll's legs opened + legs half closed + legs closed.

Sure wish the CW was available. LOL But going ahead with my project using the I-Care Kit from DSS. And gonna try a few other tidbits after I order another kit.
So if's there's any news when and where the CW can be had. Just let me know.

This is good timing as I am opening up a doll's back for a spine repair, and this adhesive will work well to close large wound. I am making a YouTube video of process, and the glue will be included in video as will my doll back repair. I was going to do a hot knife repair, but I'll wait for the glue.

You Sir, are an inspiration. Read and watch some of yours already. Excellent and informative. Looking forward to the spine vid and the use of the weld. Thank you!

I have received my CWA solution from Jeff at BCD , I will begin testing shortly when my hand gets better from its break. I will post results shortly after with analysis/abstract/conclusion.

I will be testing modifications on a Piper 130cm.

Curing time? Applies like a nail polish or thinner? Any special site prep? Waiting on some myself. Just being nosy. :)

Curing time is the same for all repairs using this, reading the manual it is about 8 hours. The viscosity of the solution is definitely higher than that of water H20. Clean the area thoroughly, prepare with baby oil, let soak and dry completely. Then apply.

It has to be similar to a laboratory scientific process and procedure to get the best effect. I will soon try on my modified piperdoll which is TPE. The toy I tried on was TPR. Similar chemical structure.
