New packaging option for Z-Onedoll ZO-145 to ZO-170

Post by Dollstudio »

Hi,

Z-Onedoll announced a new packaging option for the taller dolls from ZO-145 (~145 cm) to ZO-170 (~170 cm):
To avoid damages during international shipping, our default free carton packing will be upgraded (the photos are showing the dolls before stuffing with foams).

By this kind of new packing, the doll will be stable during the shipping.

Please note that there will be a hole in the back of the doll by using this new packing - this hole is probably the same as provided with the back hook for "intelligent type" of dolls where the head can not be exchanged.

So based on these pictures, the doll seems to be mounted through her back hook onto a plywood board. Then the doll is padded, and fixated with something like velcro.

I guess this is an innovative idea which might help to avoid shipping damages from a doll moving around in the carton. Strain is guided into the neck bolt, and if it is strong enough, this could be a significant improvement.

So, do I have this right?

1. The doll is mounted from a hook on her back onto a sheet of wood.
2. The sheet of wood is connected to the bottom of a cardboard box.

This looks promising! Looks like it can work to prevent the doll from moving in any location, protecting the feet, neck, and shoulders from being damaged. However, I have a few questions:

1. How secure is the binding of the sheet of wood to the cardboard box? This is the #1 bottleneck to determine whether or not this will work.
2. Where is the head going to be?

Oh This is great !
I would add pieces at each end of the box under the feet and above the neck also.
Outstanding improvement !
