Another strange thing -- in the second photo, does her head seem a little too small for the body?

And is that head even situated correctly? There's a definite gap at what looks like the top of the neck...

Well spotted. I asked Bob, and he confirmed: "[…] head is small, neck is big, so there is a gap in head and neck connected."
