New member introduction BRV

Hello,
I am a 43 year old Mechanical Engineer from Michigan. Never been married, have not had many girlfriends, too shy and introverted. I don't do any social media and rarely post on forums like this of any subject. I live alone in my own house.

Other current hobbies include restoring vintage John Deere and Caterpillar farm tractors and collecting their memorabilia, and collecting 1980's toys . Past or inactive hobbies include model railroading, flying model rockets, and building plastic model airplane and rocket kits. I am also pretty good at woodworking and metalworking/machining.

I debated about whether I wanted to be an active member here or just lurk. My reason for posting is that I have a JY doll on order (unapproved maker by TDF) and I want to be able to add another data point here about their dolls. I've read some good and bad about them here, but I couldn't talk myself out of a specific JY doll.

How I got here:
A few weeks ago I was searching the internet for some full sized rubber breasts to play with, and happened to find this doll:

I immediately fell in love and knew I wanted to get her. I didn't yet know what a TPE doll was and started looking for the same doll at a lower price like I do with anything I want to buy. After some more searching I found The Doll Forum and started reading. Then I joined. Before I found TDF, the thought never crossed my mind that I would not get the exact doll in the Amazon pictures. Now I know better, and don't think I would have for $900. I knew I would have to raise my budget. I found that she is a JY 162cm doll who they call "Flora" on jydoll.com. I contacted Don at Mon Amour Toujours based on some TDF posts that convinced me that he has a good relationship with the factory and placed the order. 9 days later I had her factory pictures and they gave me butterflies in my stomach, she was just as beautiful as the marketing pictures. That was this past Tuesday, now I have to wait for the factory to reopen from vacation to ship her next week.

I understand how you guys feel about your dolls. After finding her, I tried shopping around for other dolls, but I felt like I was cheating on her. No other doll I found gave me the same feeling as when I first saw her. The factory marketing pictures got everything right for me. I didn't want to change a thing about her. She just looked like someone I want to live with. I am not good at imagining one body pieced together with another head with different hair and makeup or skin color. That's why I am trying a JY doll. The factory pictures did not disappoint. So far this has been a really fun, positive experience. I will get my post count up so I can post pictures of her when she arrives.

Vendors have an on-off relationship with JY. They can be very good and they can annoy greatly. If you get a good one she'll be good. Paul at Cloud Climax in the UK was telling me today how very good they can be.

We had a small doll meet here in August. Three people from the board showed up and brought their dolls.

I live with Samara78 who is the resident doll doctor on TDF. I have been in Michigan for about a year and love it.
When we have another meet here we will start a thread about it.

Wow Stewie, does she have a sister? If things don't work out with my TPE girl, I will give her a call. Actually, her face doesn't look too much different than the one I ordered.
