Hey there, figured I'd get the 5 posts out of the way. Cptnk, short for Captain North Korea (Don't ask). Currently in college, learning what I can about dolls (NOT from college), currently don't own a doll yet, and just window shopping at the moment seeing as I don't have the space or cash at the moment. If I had a question to add to this intro post, it would be what are clones of dolls? I was skimming through the forum a couple days back and saw a post concerning about doll clones and not to trust them, my guess is that it's similar to airsoft gun clones, where one airsoft brand tries to copy another airsoft brand but does it poorly, just a guess.

Trying to get past the 5 post gate, so might as well start with this.
Currently window shopping and learning what I can about dolls in the meantime as I don't have the space, privacy or money for a quality doll at the moment.

Welcome to the forum cptnk!

As for clone dolls, they are simply copies or "knock offs" of name brand dolls. While they are usually sold for way cheaper prices than the name brand dolls, the problem is that they are usually way cheaper quality as well. So it's best to avoid the clones and stick with forum approved vendors and manufacturers.

Hah, doll clones! Yes, there are pirated molds and black market love dolls, just as there are cheap knock off rubber chickens. Scenes from the future are looming more frightening nowadays.
