I just bought my first ever dolls, a male and a female. Only had them a couple days and thought maybe I wanted to get rid of them but am thinking maybe I can make it work. Anyway, I can answer this forum's question for me, being a male who is mostly hetero. The male doll I bought is absolutely beautiful and is a perfectly shaped and sculpted ideal of the kind of guy I would consider being with in real life (but could never get). It also allows me to experiment with that side of my sexuality without involving another human because I'm not sure I could actually go through with physical activity like that with a guy. The doll lets me have the most gorgeous guy I can imagine and experiment with things I would be too afraid to do in real life. Though we haven't done anything, yet. He is very heavy and I am still making up my mind whether I can keep him.

I will also say that between the male and the female doll I have, the heaviness and size of the male comes closer to what being with a real person is like. When I need hugs I go to him. The female, gorgeous though she is, feels more "fake" to me because I can lift her with one hand and her frame is so tiny.

I can certainly understand why a person would want a male doll with all of the "good looks and the right gear" for companionship and sex. For all the same reasons that I have my Hadleigh. To each their own.

Here I am, three and a half years later. I now have four fabric male dolls, two TPE male dolls and one silicone male doll.
Many members here offered me amazing advice on how to upgrade my original fabric male doll. He is in a 6 foot tall fabric halloween dummy body with a sewn on cloth face that I made by ironing on an ink-jet t-shirt decal onto a plain white cotton t-shirt, a photo of my favorite man in the universe. His hands and feet were upgraded to silicone and he has a 36 inch tension curtain rod insulated by a hollow foam pool noodle for a spine that runs from the base of his pelvis, to the top of his head, plus two thin metal dowels also insulated by hollow foam pool noodles that run from his knees down to into the ankles of his silicone feet. He wears my late great grandfather's wedding band on his left ring finger and my high school class ring on his right ring finger. I am in the process of trying to figure out a way to secure funds to do another upgrade in which he has a Smitzen full body silicone suit to go over his fabric body, to make him even more realistic in appearance.

Even though I am now unable to spend time with any of my dolls (long story; don't want to get into it at the moment), when I was able to, I noticed a huge improvement in my overall emotional and mental well-being. There were many moments of joy in my life at that time, that unfortunately has been put on hold until further notice. But I can look back and smile at the fond memories.

The guys have been put away for now, but I have hopes that we will be together again someday.
