oh man, I love Aki's long hair and he is really hot too! What kind of doll is he? How long have you had him?

Aki is a Real Doll2. I had him for over 1 year-back around 2012, I think. Although I did really like him, his size and weight became an issue and I wasn't sure at that time the hobby was right for me. So, I found him a new home.

Luca arrived Monday (I will get pics later!). He is heavy, but the shorter height definitely helps. While I can't really lift him for more than a few seconds, I do have an easier time changing his position, moving his arms/legs, etc. TPE is so much softer than silicone! I was really suprised at first. Aki was super solid, kinda felt like hugging a tree trunk sometimes (sorry, Aki!). As far as I know there were not male dolls like Luca available years ago.

Yeah, I cannot lift Larry for very long as well. I’m still learning how to move and position him and what all different ways he can be moved. I am so glad Luca is finally home and I look forward to seeing new pics of him.

Awesome! He looks real good. Which head did you get? Larry’s is the #207.

#78, I really like how his make-up turned out. I have seen the same head on other sites with different skin tones/make-ups that really changes the look. These are both head 78.

He’s a handsome man! I think you’ll find wigs make a huge difference to the way he looks! It is extraordinary how different my ladies look when they try on a different wig. My Vivette in particular didn’t really look right in normal straight haired wigs as her head seemed to be too small for her body with them on. However, as soon as I put a curly haired wig on which gave height to the top of her head she looked amazing!

I would experiment with different cheap wigs if I were you until you can find the right one(s) for Luca. Then you can search for a real human hair wig that will make a huge difference to synthetic ones. Keep the cheap ones for bedtime use though because wigs tangle and knot as soon as the head hits the pillow!

Cheers, Hollows.

Right on! Yes, I can see how with different makeup and heads it can really change the look. That and adding facial hair too, in my case.

Wigs are fun. Good idea to use the cheaper ones for bedtime. That could especially be the case for a long wig. As a cosplayer, I know of places to get much better quality synthetic wigs. I have already ordered one. I like the white/ silver/ platinum color with Luca’s skin tone. Probably won’t go with human hair for him, but I can see that working well for the ladies. You can style those with curls, even dye them. Styling synthetic wigs is a pain. Luckily, there are lots of styles to choose from :)

Did you add facial hair to Larry? If so, I wanna see pics! I actually like that the dolls are hairless. Not a fan of hairy guys, personally.

Yes, I sure did! I ordered some glue on mutton chop sideburns (which I applied with Grim's Clear Sealant) and used Avon's kohl eye liner in charcoal to add the five o-clock shadow stubble.

I missed these somehow - Wow! He really looks amazing Shadow Cat! VERY photogenic. He's looking very Lucky Blue-esque.

He is super cute. I also saw that he is only72 pounds which is nice. Mine is 100 and he is a little hard to handle sometimes
