PM message still in Outbox - doesn't send

I tried to send a PM to a member but the message seems to be sitting in the Outbox and doesn't show up in the Sent folder. Is that normal for the message to stay in the Outbox for a while?

It will switch over the next time that member next logs on.
Until then it will sit in your outbox.

it will stay in the outbox until the member 'reads it'...nothing to do with whether he logs in or not. This is normal and working as intended.

Also, outbound messages are marked as "sent" as soon as the recipient opens their inbox. It doesn't mean they've necessarily opened and read the pm.
