Inserting url in post w/text

Post by Boater »

I can insert a link in my posts but it's all the path crap and I would like to have a part of my text be the link. For example, I would like the name Leyna in a sentence link to her album.
How do I do that?

Hi Boater,
The syntax is as follows:
[url=http://www.dollforum.com/modules.php?se ... _album.php]LEYNA's album[/url]

Here are the steps to follow when you're opened the post reply window:

Click the URL Button

Remove the last bracket ]

Type in (or copy/paste in this case cause it's too long) the URL http://www........

Add the ] bracket

Type the text, for example: LEYNA'album

Click the URL button again

Thats it.

Be sure that BB Code is enabled in your posts and check the preview.

I must say that it was much more comfortable in the old forum.
Try it and use the preview button to check the results, learning by doing is the way to go!

Hope that helps you a bit

Hi Boater,
Here is the result when you enable BB code:
LEYNA's album

You can also use a different font style:LEYNA's album

Btw, I did use this opportunity to check Leyna’s pics again.
She is a real looker!

Hi Max P!
Thank you for the compliment and the helpful info.
I had just figured out how to do this with the old forum when we changed to the new one. It was much easier. Trial and error is how I have learned what little I know about puters so far. I know just enough to be dangerous! 8O
