I'm curious why this poll is posted in the first place. Most web servers I've used log the screen resolution of the client on each and every GET call. (It's part of the header information submitted as part of the call.) Granted, not all clients are configured to submit this information, but in my experience, about 75% of all web requests made include this data.

It seems to me this data could be gathered more scientifically from your web logs. Voluntary polls, other than the discussion they may generate, are fickle and statistically faulty sources of information.

Just a thought...

Apache does not get screen size from the HTTP request. The screen resolution is not passed in the GET call unless it's added there by some JavaScripting. It's not part of the default headers nor is it part of the W3C specification. If we were to add some JavaScripting to add the screen resolution to the GET request, it would still not be an accurate way of getting data because of dynamic IP addressing. The only reliable way to get the data would be if we could track the screen size by username, which would require writing of an addon, as phpBB3 does not do that sort of thing on it's own.
