uploading photos with mobile android tablet.

My android tablet won't upload my photos. Does the forum except mobile uploads? And how long does it take? It uploads video but not photos. Love the forum though! Awesome!

TDF isn't officially designed for mobile devices, but with certain browsers, it does work.
Maybe try Firefox for Android, or Opera for Android, instead of the build-in browser.

Okay then, but why not have TDF use the Tapatalk plugin for phpBB? A lot of forums use it...It might help you know... Firefox for Android is incompatible with Gingerbread. That is my Android version is. Unless I install a custom ROM, I won't be able to myself.

I have an android tablet running 4.1. With the standard browser I am unable to upload. However using Chrome works with no issues

I found a workaround.

Make sure you have popup windows allowed!

I'm gonna show y'all.

First, tap your menu button and tap the "More" button.

Scroll down and tap "Settings."

Uncheck "Block pop-up windows."

Done. Now you should be able to upload photos on Android.

Hmmm, worked for me...

What version of Android you running? Gingerbread? Ice Cream Sandwich? Jelly Bean? KitKat? (2.3, 4.0, 4.1 & 4.2, respectively. )

I'm running 4.2.2, allowing popups doesn't change the behavior. The download starts and stays processing until I kill it and get an illegal file type error. Switching browsers to chrome however works.

anyway I'm glad it worked for you and probably many others

I did some Googling and found out on xda-developers that this is a KitKat issue. So, I'm suggesting that TDF Management considers installing the phpBB Tapatalk plugin.

And now on an Android Gingerbread phone, now I can't upload attachments. The progress popup appears, appears to upload files but doesn't.

And Google won't fix it.

Medium priority forever and no fix.More interested in the interests of the carriers and the dumb fracks which think Candy Crush Saga and those dumb similar King games are cool. NOT.

The only Candy I wanna crush is Jennifer. My Candy8teen Taffy, that is.

And by that, I mean love her.

(King's Candy Crush / Pet Rescue / Bubble Witch Saga are really nothing more than ripoffs of a Sega Genesis game released in 1991: Columns! Or Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, released 1993.)

their are two summit buttons use the one on the very top.above upload attachments. also write something, like her name ect.

Why is there not a mobile version? I browse this forum constantly on my phone. It eats up so much data due to the upper and lower ads. Also, if you do make a mobile version, please make the images hidden, but with an option to show picture button so I dont keep loading old large picture files each time I look at the latest post.
