Most of the time, there's no 'she' behind those posts.
Someone sits down with a bot and a truckload of pics scraped from porn sites.
Wouldn't surprise me if there's only a few dozen people in the country posting all
of the ads. Nobody ever meets, they just want to direct people to pay sites.

Or a few cops at the county jail posting all the ads.

I do admit that it is sometimes annoying but I tend to stick with just one or two vendors to avoid this exact problem.

Some people (like me?) don't view by category like that. When I log
in, I check the threads I've been involved in, and then the unread posts.
Unless I specifically check, I might not even know what category I'm in.

You know what 8O

Being the Peoples MOD as such, I am inclined to agree, as this is more so prevalent when using the ALL RECENT POSTS function.

IMO, what I would like to see, the Doll Maker Posts the topic, and then their associated vendors can post their deals and spin, in the same topic.

At the moment the status quo for posting in makers and vendors rules from other makers and vendors, sort of forces them to represent in their own sub forums, such that they do not infringe ROC and TOU, by advertising or promoting in another's topic.

Clearly, they want to sell their products, and this is the only method ATM, and both vendors and makers pay fees to advertise that contribute towards keeping this place running...I am certainly not giving away any secrets here, as this place costs a fair bit to keep running.

I will run a potential rule change by management to see what they think.

The idea is Maker comes out and promotes the new Dolly, and then the vendors follow in in the same topic like ducklings, but the trick will be to keep it all gentle personal like

I don't see there are duplicated posts on our 6ye Manufacturer Forum, we have tacit agreement that if there are new photos posted, our vendors are not encouraged to open another new topic for those photos. But they are welcome to post more extra photos in the original topic.

Of course our vendors have their own rights to post those photos on their own vendor forums. And this is their responsibility of being our authorised resellers to promote our dolls on their own forums.

I'm one of the rare few that actually enjoys all the vendor ads/posts. I guess it's because I am new and it's a fresh new sea of dolls that I am swimming in. I haven't been around long enough to know that I am drowning in pussy yet. In the meantime they are paying for my free plunge.

I call it marketing laziness, reposting the same pics on different threads titles is just unproductive. Presenting a doll on a different set, with different wigs, different eyes and so on, it would make the doll to be more attractive to the consumers. If The buyer can see xx head in blonde, red and brown, with different eyes on different body types , there no need to wonder and doubt different looks, it's there, you can see it and the sold sign appears a lot faster.

Who chooses to put the effort in marketing will be more likely to close the deal faster , with more customers. I know it is time consuming to do it ... but it is worth it.

I used to see that a lot on ebay with RealDolls. I don't know if they still do that, I haven't looked for RealDolls since I fell in love with mine.

A slightly ridiculous example of this phenomenon: The same photo posted by the same vendor, here:
http://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtopi ... 67&t=87715

and here:
http://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtopi ... 12&t=87745

Lest there be any doubt, check the file name under the photos in the screen shot below.

It's a doll I find personally attractive, and the vendor has a good reputation, but even so, I'm flummoxed as to why anybody would want to repeat identical content.

Most likely the reason vendors of a new production doll post the same pics is those are promotional pics sent by the manufacture. The vendors probably don't even have a new doll like that in their possession. I also assume most vendors don't even purchase dolls to have for personal possession to do photo shoots.

Some of it could be a holdover from the print advertising mentality.. that you need
to keep things in front of your audience's eyes, lest they forget. Your ad in last week's
newspaper doesn't do you any good today; the fresh eyes haven't seen it.
But on a forum like this, nothing goes away.
