I see most agree the standard mermaid to be more to their liking.

Good to hear from you Duke, while I understand the idea of evolution and a primate that evolved to live in the ocean, would be a mammal and not a fish, but I was going for a more fantasy based doll :P

This has been quite the undertaking. You will soon have your Ariel, a unique mermaid doll. As a kid I nearly fell in love with Ariel from The Little Mermaid (mostly for her voice--yeah, right!) and many years later the reality is almost complete.

Thanks ValarMorgulis, she's not quite an Ariel, but she is currently available, to grace somebody's waterbed (does anybody have these anymore?)

I finished the mermaid yesterday.
Here are a few pics of the details.
Thumbs have been attached and the arms have been attached to the body.
Fingernails have been done in turquoise PUL in a square tip with a white back.

One more thing, I wanted to make her a scallop shell bikini top, so I came up with this.
I made it with white satin and the rays are stuffed with poly fill.

With the cancellation of Rachnera and Papi, I'll be using their torsos to make some dolls for sale.
First Rachnera's torso seemed like a good starting point for making a new Femlin doll.
Femlin was a pen and ink character drawn by Leroy Neiman, for Heffner's Playboy Party Jokes, found on the back of all centerfolds.

I've sewn up new legs and arms for Femlin, in Minky and black micro suede.
For the foot armatures I've used Romex and a piece of PEX tubing to firm the boot.

Placing the leg armatures in the leg skin, I'll cut a hole in the foot's heel to expose the boot's heel.

After stuffing the leg, I'll see the distal end of the foot armatures to the skins.
Also I've sewn up toe soles, heel soles, and heels, in black PUL.

And the finished boots.

I'll be adding black satin straps to the proximal end of all boots and gloves to finish.
I've also prepared some black fur for the pubic hair.
I'll be removing the pink nipples and replacing them with black, to keep the theme of this doll all black and white.

More progress next time.

Peace,

I'll continue by sewing black satin straps on the proximal ends of the gloves and boots.

Then I'll prepare a pair of replacement nipples in black.

And after the nipples have been replaced.

Next I'll make a plush beaver in black and white PUL

And with the plush beaver inserted.
You'll also notice the legs have been attached to the torso.

For Femlin's head, I've made the eyes with all black embroidery thread, black PUL lips and some short pointed elven ears.

She still needs hair and a few details finished.

I hope to have her finished in the next week or two, and will put her up for sale at that time.

Has the mermaid sold yet? I may pick her up if she's still available. I sent you a PM Coyote9.

She sold back in April. You'll find her in the TDF sold sub-forum.

Her and the succubus. I looked too, yep. At an estimated 1.5 years wait to own one of these custom plushies, I was hoping to find one.

I guess I didn't see that when I was searching. I'm happy she was sold... sad it wasn't to me. Oh well! I have 2 V.V. dolls in the next build group and a new Ruby13 that'll be home by Halloween if all goes well.
