Sanhui 156cm unboxing and first impressions

Finally picked up my Sanhui from FedEx after a relatively short wait (from what I hear) of about 3.5 weeks after finalizing my order!

I am a first time doll owner but I have had experience with tpe toys in the past so I will be able to comment on silicone vs tpe to a degree.

This will be a multipost ongoing commentary with pictures. Let the unboxing begin!~

The box itself had Canada customs inspection tape on it with clear arrows indicating which side down for the cardboard box. It had very minor crush and abrasions you would expect on a box travelling so far, and the entire box was wrapped in plastic.

Box dimensions were 158cm x 43cm x 31cm (Length x Width x Height) for those planning on using the shipping crate for storage.

Removed and shredded all identifying labels on plastic wrap (7 total!)

Large amounts of packing foam for safe delivery... I think I will temporarily use one sheet in my storage spot in the closet.

Care package included had wig, comb, minimal top and bottom, a USB warmer and plastic flusher.

Wig is contained in a hair net... you might be worried it’s badly tangled at first hehe

I kept hearing how fragile eyelashes can be at times... this is the packing to keep them safe~

Examining the head carefully I note that the lips would almost definitely tear if used for oral. Not an oral face choice. Touching silicone for the first time it does not feel as grippy/tacky to the touch as the tpe butt I own... an upgrade in feel for sure.

Important technique to avoid damaging the doll at this stage... only cut the tiniest amount of tape/foam being held up with fingers and let it rip. I can only imagine the damage you could cause if you rush this step sticking in scissors too deep...

I have this same head from 2016 when the silicone was harder. Yes, the corners of her mouth tore on mine, on both sides. It can be repaired, but then you have the small opening all over again. If I could go back in time, I would actually go and cut clean lines in those spots to allow wider opening that would come back into proper place and not show any visible damage. She is very pretty, and it's nice to see a modern upgraded version of her.
