My Experiences with Ember (SH165)

Thought I'd start one more thread regarding Ember, my life-sized synthetic surrogate model sweetness - you can call her a doll too... that's fine. Already got a post for my order experience, Ember's movement range and her photos, and now just other stuff. Refer to signature. Today I have four items to update:

1. My thoughts so far
So Ember arrived on March 30th. It's now what.. almost one month. I'm so glad I ordered. It's great to have such an attractive thing there to glance over when I wake up or bed. I know many of us also feel a presence with our dolls. I honestly don't.. yet. I'm just rarely at home as I work long hours and on my days off I'm with my kids and got other projects going on. Maybe when my schedule settles down where I'm actually in my room for hours other than being passed out asleep.

Here in TDF I see our groups based on our purpose for owning a doll - photography, companionship, sex, sex, and all the sex. I fall on the last category hahaha. I'm a busy guy with lots going on. I love the female form and have a high sex drive. Couple that with mediocre income and not that much desire to socialize in public, my couplings with women have been few. Plus I've gone through the whole marriage, kids, and divorce thing.. and i'm in the fortunate position to have great kids who give me enough love and drama to keep my emotions busy. Perhaps one day when my kids have left the nest, my synthetic model-friend will fill that space. For now, Ember and I share lots of squeezing and slapping.

To summarize. I didn't have $2200 laying around. But I'm glad I made the purchase. Having Ember I can spend more time focusing on the things that are important to me and less time playing the dating game, and just get laid when I want. Perhaps sex with a life-sized silicone model is not as real as a real woman? I've owned several fleshlights and this here Ember blows that away - and me too! Several times.

And my doll is real enough without the time sacrifices of relationship or the money/health risks of an escort. My SH165 was money well-spent and I'm happy.

#2. Emeber's wrist BROKE!

So yeah, we were not rocking the house. She was lying on her back and I was simply nudging her arms and legs in to position to sleep for the night. Her left wrist was only at a slight bent so I moved it back into neutral and the skeleton snapped inside! Shit. So that's what it's like for those of you who experienced the broken bones. Her silicone is quite durable so her hand dangling like that does not cause any stretching. To be proper and since I don't have time to deal with it right now... I got a good wrist brace that fit - I had to pull the velcro strap to it's very end to be snug enough on her little wrist. For now, it almost makes her seem more real. hehe.

#3. New eyeballs

So I got these in the mail other day too.. plan to make Ember's eyes movable. Got these new eyeballs having read Samurai's thread a few weeks back where he successfully did this modification. http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=142&t=68671 These new eyes cost me about $25 total for those three sets and are so much more detailed and realistic compared to Ember's factory balls... which are not even balls, but plastic almond slivers and the whites are a bit too white. These new eyeballs are also plastic, but the front hemisphere has a nice layer of glossy acrylic and the iris is intracately more detailed. For the cost.. the upgrade in realism is a great deal. Along with some pointers by Dallonoh (http://iboughtadoll.com) I should be taking a small scalpel or x-acto knife to her eye socket to cut out a more rounded socket and lube it with some petroleum jelly like vaseline. Interesting. Will do.. maybe next week. Sanhui - I would seriously pay extra if you included better quality eyes and have them movable like this. I know some other manufacturers already have that option. I would think it would not require I big change in the head mold to make the deeper/round eye socket and to include better quality eyeballs that only cost me $25 retail for 3 pairs.

#4. Oral-licious.

So back to the sex. I like the oral kind. But to be honest, vaginal with Ember feels softer and smoother, but I think psychologically for me at least, it's more a thrill seeing a hot girl blowing me down. Before I ordered this doll, I was a bit concerned about her pretty face... it's so gorgeous and all and her lips in that little smile. I mean, her face in general was kinda petite sized anyhow. I worried that my man-handling of her face would wreck all that in no time. So far, every weekend that I've had Ember (4 times so far) her lips are holding up quite well.. no visual change on the outside.

On the inside with her mouth open some small tears are visible at the corners. They were present after our first romp, and the thing is, it doesn't seem to be getting any worse. These tears are not deep at all and almost look more like the colored lipstick layer peeling to the side. Of course I'll be keeping careful watch.

Also, if you're wondering, her blowjob abilities don't ceases to amaze.

Of course, let's be realistic. Her silicone there is not as soft as a real woman's mouth, but just put enough lube and together with the flowing hair, pretty eyes, and perfect proportions.. the sensation is close enough that I have no desire to put in the time/money/effort for the same experience from a real woman. And as doll material and techniques continue to advance, the gap will narrow even more.

I would agree these girls can compete with the best of them. ( all doll wrists are a weak point) I treat mine like glass.

Real sorry to hear about Ember’s broken wrist. Especially since a SH165 is my first choice in doll’s right now. I first saw you mention Ember’s broken wrist while I was reading a thread of another doll (I think a SH too) with a broken wrist a couple of days ago. It gives us all who are interested in SH doll’s great concern, but you seem to be taking it well. I hope Ember get’s better real soon for you though. I enjoyed reading your first hand experience with Ember giving you a BJ, sounds like her mouth is holding up pretty well with that, good to know. I was wondering, have you added any additional make-up to Ember & if so has it created any stains? Thinking about lipstick & blush type make-up mostly. I understand you haven’t put the new eyeballs in yet. But a more realistic upgrade of the eyeballs should make a very nice difference. But do you really think you’ll have to do some cutting to get them in? Well, good luck to you & Ember, sounds like you two are happy together. Nope no makeup added whatsoever. The natural lip color and slight blush and mascara on the SH165 is done very nicely. I'm not that much into makeup on women in real life... and I see other dolls lacking any color at all.. and the SH165 strikes a good balance. George over at X/S Dolls was real cool and gave me a free makeup set. I'm too lazy to try any on Ember yet. Though maybe if I find a nice super sexy outfit that screams for more exaggerated makeup.. i'll try some on her.

The SH165 factory eyes are like flat almond shapes and not like a round ball. So the eye sockets are more like shallow grooves. In order to throws those upgraded eyeballs in there, I need to cut away the silicone behind her eyes to make more of a round socket. Apparently not a super easy task.. but to me the potential benefit outweighs the effort.

Make sure to find out how far you can press into the socket before you hit the base material. Thinking of doing that on my reiko when she comes.

Thank you for sharing your reasons for buying a doll. Work and life can beat you down so much that you don't have any energy to work on RG's. Having your needs met with no nonsense helps you get on with your life. These dolls are surprisingly satisfying.

Great write-up, ErrorNull. These beauties can fill multiple roles as circumstance and desire dictates. I can relate to you on the sexual gratification being good enough relative to the real deal that the effort to acquire one over the other is no longer a priority. It's all about that risk/reward ratio in my opinion. I don't prefer "dolls" over women per se, but my doll gives me enough of what I need to enhance my happiness, not detract from it.

About the lips cracking at the corner:
I finally got to experience my Licia's mouth. I was just about to post a picture of the same thing you did: the corner of her little mouth split as she opened wide. I instantly regretted it but she was smiling at me and looked so happy so I decided to finish since the damage was already done. Well, it felt really good and her face looks so convincing as you move her head to the side and swirl around her lips. Afterwards I noticed the splits on the corners of her mouth are just the red paint. It's not bad at all! It doesn't look like it will continue to peel or pull off and you can't even see it unless you have something forcing her mouth way open. I think it will be a breeze to touch it up with some paint. I'll have to research a little on what paint to use.
