Sanhui is lying about the weights of their dolls
Re: Sanhui is lying about the weights of their dolls
The doll is nice except for her being so heavy. I haven't done whoopee with her yet because I get worn out after dressing and moving her around. And I'm not in bad shape, I'm not young or an athlete but I do lift weights, including squats and dead lifts, at the gym. This doll will be one of the best you can get, in my opinion, if they got her weight down, hell if they got it to 30kg.
Another issue with a heavy doll, especially with such a soft body is it is easier to damage.

But this kind of information exchange is good for both the customer and the Vendor/Manufacturer, as it can stop misunderstandings from ever occurring in the first place.

Hey, man, you're humorous. Kind of relieved the tension here.gonestill77 wrote:OK all, I tested this out on my Sanhui 145 and it went as follows.....
I got on the scale to see what I weigh. Then I went and got Eve and stood on the scale and couldn't see what the fuck it said.

I sent him a pm, stating a similar message. I guess it can't hurt to say it here after all. It's a fun post.rock1101 wrote:Hey, man, you're humorous. Kind of relieved the tension here.gonestill77 wrote:OK all, I tested this out on my Sanhui 145 and it went as follows.....

I'd like to help out, but I don't have a scale. I'll try to remember to get one the next time I go shopping.

You are 100% correct. The difference in weight may not SEEM like a lot on the surface, but when we're talking about dolls; it can be HUGE.
I work the medical release desk and I always ask people, "Do you know what the difference between MAJOR and Minor surgery? "
After they answer, my reply is , "Major is when they are doing the surgery on you, MINOR any one else in the world."

However, the BBC television One Show did a programme on 'how accurate are your scales'. Even the most expensive bathroom scales can be 3% out and the worst was 8% out but they did say they could be as much as 10% out! Try testing at least two different known weights on your scales before trusting them to be accurate! The heavier the object the more the discrepancy! It's like the speedo on your car. Most people know that they read 10% faster than you're travelling so if you're travelling at 55miles an hour on the clock you're actually doing 50 miles an hour!
As I said, I don't want to add to or confuse this issue but make sure your scales are reading as close to being correct before presenting this as evidence! My scales are useless! However, I just use them to regulate my weight so I know if I'm putting it on or taking it off!

...I don't think so.....
Re: Sanhui is lying about the weights of their dolls
There is nothing wrong with a bit of scepticism towards what you call anecdotal evidence as way too many flat out wrong statements get hyped into facts these days.art_vandelay wrote:chronos i never doubted that yours was too heavy, i just said that mine seemed about right in weight so the problem exists but it cant be "proven" to be a huge industry problem with just a few data points to back it up. BUT. if someone has been weighing dolls and knows for a fact (because they have data to back up their words) that the industry has a problem, of course i would concede and stop being the doubting thomas that i am.
However, you may want to consider that vendors usually have an interest in selling stuff and are therefore at least slightly ill advised to discourage customers from buying dolls due to incorrect( too low) weight specifications.
Imho, if more than one vendor - all of them known for delivering excellent customer service - tells you that their data show an industry problem then the likelyhood of them being right is significantly higher than your scepticism being valid.
I would like to ask everyone not specifically referencing Sanhui or the OPs issue to move to this follow-up thread opened by BCD in the members section:

as it is much easier to talk about the problem in general over there.
Kind regards.

As the OP has stated the thread has run it's course, I agree with the recommendation above and will lock this thread. Feel free to PM me if you want it reopened.mi6c wrote:I would like to ask everyone not specifically referencing Sanhui or the OPs issue to move to this follow-up thread opened by BCD in the members section:
