But what is a Gargoyle? Searching for this I found:
"The gargoyle is a fantasy and horror monster inspired by the gargoyle architectural element." (Wikipedia)
Hm, your pictures don't look like a monster.
"A gargoyle is a grotesque statue." (Wikipedia)
Dosn't look grotesque to me.
"ein mythisches Wesen mit Menschengestalt und Fledermausflügeln, das tagsüber zu Stein wird" (Wikipedia DE)
Translated: "a mythical creature with human form and bat wings that turns to stone during the day"
This explanation fits very well to the beautiful pictures. Is that what Gargoyle means?

That's pretty much it. Gargoyles were part of gothic architecture used at the end of gutters to spout water. Symbolically, they were placed to ward off evil and bring pagans into the cathedral (in a backwards sort of way). Gethsemane, who is Ophelia's best friend is her gargoyle and was part of the Salem Asylum Agreement. She's supposed to ward off evil from encompassing Ophelia again. But enough about the Salem lore.Tsall wrote:Very very nice.
