First doll YL 148 is on its way

OK, so it is night 3 and I think I may have made a mistake, that doll ownership may not be right for me, or more accurately that this is the wrong time. Dont get me wrong, I am totally happy with the doll, she is as beautiful and soft as advertised.

The problem is that I have to hide her, and despite being warned about the weight, I misjudged how awkward and difficult it would be taking her out and putting her away, And she was no help at all. I was like "little help?" but she just stared at me.

By the time I get her out, dressed, etc, I am pretty tired. Also, I havent quite cleared that last mental hurdle of her being "real", so I havent "done" anything with her yet. And I have no desire to drag her out tonight.

I dont regret the purchase - I have been interested for years and had to find out. I havent given up yet, I will give it some more time and things may get easier. I am so envious of the people that can have their dolls out all the time. I know I would feel differently if that were my situation.

So I have some things to think about.

Hope you can come up with a working solution. As for weight, I have the same doll and it can be awkward. Looking forward to a future where a doll this size weighs less than 20lbs. Not sure how they could do it, but it sure would be nice to me.

Some 145cm dolls can come in under 20kg (DS 145 minus is 18kg I think).
However, going back to your problem major woody, how about putting some extensions on the legs of your bed and put your doll under on a car maintenance low trolley so she can be 'wheeled' out in her box when you feel the 'need'!

For now, I would suggest keeping her in a bra and panties. Keep it simple.
Once you have her out, remember to get her in the fetal position to make her seem lighter.
Is sliding her back under tougher than getting her out?

I'm not sure risers are the answer. It is difficult both taking out and putting away. Without going into the dimensions of my room, it is awkward picking her up once she is out and laying her back down again to slide her back under my bed.

The thing is, she is probably the minimum size doll for me.

This is the second night in a row that, despite the desire to take her out and play, I have no plans to do so.

My main fear is that if I only take her out once month, is there a danger of creases and damage where the TPE is touching (its tough to get her in totally neutral position pushing her under the bed), does she need to be powdered more often?

Thanks for the suggestions though.

MW,
Let's talk this weekend.
You need something so she can slide easily out from and under your bed.
If she is on a good piece of memory foam or the pink blanket folded into 3rds, nothing to worry about and chances are you will WANT her more than once a month.

Got her out again tonight, it was a little easier, so maybe I can make this work.

I see what you mean about the wig! A better quality wig will always fit and look better. Have a look at the Ryleigh goes Coffee Latte thread! Good quality wigs can set you back a bit but they're worth it!

Well I got her out again. That's like 3 times in a week, not too bad. Haven't named her yet, but I was thinking of Heidi, since she has to hide under my bed. I'm still having problems with the whole suspension of disbelief thing, I had to watch pornhub on my phone resting on her ass-whatever works right.

Which brings me to another thing: how come no one has complimented me on my photos? How about my use of dim lighting to convey mood? Or my artistic use of blurriness to set atmosphere?

OK I don't usually like pubic hair on dolls but that last photo is great! Just a little peek!

Thanks for the kind words, but I was kidding - I know I am no photographer. My photos are just terrible. In fact, these pix of the doll are more photos than I've taken in the last 5 years combined. Was never into taking pictures. I can only improve.

Although, I am a little surprised that YL hasn't contacted me yet to hire me to photograph all their new dolls.

MW what are you using to take the photos, a phone?
By the way, going back to an earlier post of yours, saving drafts can be done in 'notepad' first apparently and then copy and paste.
