Thank you for all of the comments. Yes, Jennifer enjoys having a few outfits (and costumes) in her wardrobe. Just a few...
but she has to share them with someone else. There is another female living here with us. Her name is Chrissy. Chrissy came to live here about one month before (and two days after finalizing travel plans for) Jennifer. The first picture (below) was taken shorty after Chrissy came to stay with me.
As you can see, she arrived with no makeup, and her eyebrows were practically worn away. I decided to remove what was left of her eyelashes, since they were already half-way torn off, and in poor condition. I'm hoping to order another set of Mannequinfan's closing-eyelids sometime in the near future, so I see no urgent need to replace her lashes before then. (as I would only have to remove them again.)
I tried putting several different outfits on Chrissy, but she never looked quite right to me, due to her 'nude' face - and the thought of applying makeup, well, honestly... it scared the hell out of me. I had tried it once already, and quickly realized that I wasn't a natural. (Fast-forward about 4-6 weeks.) The other day I finally got tired of looking at my 'unfinished art' and decided it was time to overcome my fear, so I broke out the makeup-pads, eyeliner-pencils, baby-oil and some tissue (for mistakes) and bravely set forth to conquer L'Oreal, Alamay, and whatever other french-sounding products I had managed to find at the store...
I think luck was with me this time (I certainly can't attribute it to skill) as I never had to 'un-do' any of my cosmetic work, and I don't think it came out too terribly bad. (considering who the artist is.) I'm half-tempted to remove the factory makeup from Jennifer and try my luck with her.
Anyway... to celebrate, I thought it would be nice to post a picture of the girls together. Here is the view that I currently see when I wake up, or crawl into bed.
Speaking of which...
Thanks for stopping by.
Y'all come back now. Y'hear?
