Re: Stains on SM dolls Question
I am very interested to see what the SM cream does, as I have the exact same problem with my SM doll. I too think they might be permanent. I feel bad for you, but I am relieved that I'm not alone in this.Samurai wrote:I have contacted Star @ sm dolls and she is going to send me some of their own cream/paste or whatever it is they recommend and see how that works on the doll.
However it looks like those stains are there to stay
Thank you for taking an interest in this thread and for trying to help it's appriciated.

Re: Stains on SM dolls Question
I'm in contact with "Samuarai" and "Grubhed" because of the stain remover that both used from me.
On both of their SM Doll's, the stain remover caused a darker spot.
The tests I made with SM Doll TPE from May 2018 was ok, also a current test with a new SM Doll head no. 62.
Otherwise I would not have given both the stain remover.
In a "few hours" I will receive a new SM Doll with doll head 76.
I repeat the test with the stain remover on doll and head.
I keep you updated.
Re: Stains on SM dolls Question
1. The creme has to be applied as a covering layer on the TPE.
2. After 5-6 hours, the creme starts to crystallize which looks like "sugar coating".
3. The creme works with water-soluble components, and the creme makes an "air exchange" within TPE or silicone polymer structure for "soft-opening" of color stains.
4. The creme on top soaks up the color pigments.
On the pictures you will see the applied stain remover and later the "sugar coating" half removed, for seeing the TPE surface (and also as evidence that you see that this are the same spots).
TPE pieces from TPE material purchased from SM Doll in March 2018:
"Sugar coating" half removed
SM Doll head no. 62 from December 2018
Most of the "sugar coating" removed
The following pictures are from this SM Doll 170:

I received the doll this morning.
Sole of the doll:
"Sugar coating" half removed
Doll head no. 76 with SM Doll logo
"Sugar coating" half removed
As you can see, the stain remover creme from me did not cause any stains or color changes within the TPE.
I wrote to "Samurai" and "Grubhed" an email.
I have no "official" explanation (which can be discussed) why these 2 doll owners have made such an experience with my creme.

Thanks to SM Doll (Jack & Taylor).
The SM Doll 170 is very nice and in perfect quality !
Packaging was also top
Re: Stains on SM dolls Question
The jinsan stain remover did not stain that doll either so again it must be the TPE formula that my doll and Grubhed's doll was made from, i can't see any other explaination, though will have to wait untill receive the cream/paste from Sm dolls and try that and see what results that gives us.
Very strange
