Possible end to the "STAIN" problem?

After doing some significant research and testing....this actually works.
Soak the dark garment for your doll in the sink half full with 1 cup of Vinegar and 1/4 cup of Salt.
Mix it very good in cold water. Soak the garment for about 5 hours and stir it very well from time to time to assure all the small areas are saturated.
Rinse very good with cold water.
Air dry.
This "LOCKS" in the dyes that are used at the manufacturer that bleed very easy.
To demonstrate the success of this test HOLLY has volunteered to show off this tight stretchy lingerie piece.
The following pictures were taken after 3 DAYS!!!!!

That's actually a very old trick. I can remember my mom doing something along those lines way back in the day.

Results do vary however, depending on fabric type and dye used.

Sorry to burst your bubble but yes, this is an old method dating back before the 50s when we didn't have an abundance of synthetics.
IOW, this method is useful primarily for natural fibers and maybe certain cellulose fibers.

Those bodystockings in the OP are likely yarn dyed, meaning they are already pretty colorfast.
A thorough rinsing is all that's required. Now the binding MAY contain some natural yarns that could be affected by salt/vinegar.
Regardless, I can guarantee a salt and vinegar mordant won't work on modern synthetics dyed with more exotic chemistries.
If the fixing process was insufficient at the mill, nothing will stabilize the color post-dye.

My post is to help others who have never seen this before, not claim I discovered the process.
I have no "BUBBLE" to burst, and I am not claiming this is NEW.
I do however think it is unfortunate that such an "OLD" process is never discussed on a forum where
doll staining is such a huge issue. Stain removal is covered quite a bit....
But I've never heard of this until a week ago when searching online for a solution.
I wish someone would have posted this 2 years ago when I started to order dolls.

Imagine combining it with after doing below
You wash clothing in a bucket
Empty bucket
Repeat until water is clear
Let item dry
Tie around a piece of TPE
Place a book on top for 2 days for pressure.

Jeff give good advice. Test first as the vinegar salt soak doesn't always work (don't ask how I know).
I've had very good results with Retayne.
