Today marks the 7th year that Katie has been with me.
Has been some RL woman along the way but always seems to be me and Katie in the end.
Great sleeping buddy and good to talk to cause she listens and never tells me to shut up .
Have had some great times with her and have kept her in very good shape.
I think its time to get her fresh hair soon did not realize was that bad.
But this year I have my camera so its pic time.
She was being antsy and wanted her junk food fix for breakfast.
She got strait outa bed and went to kitchen in her nightie and wanted me to get this picture out of
the way so she could eat it.
Here she is after spending 7 years with my crazy ass lol.

She did not really get anything this year for her birthday

.
That is a newer silk nighty she is wearing.
Its very silky and feels great to rub her belly threw it .
We do have some newer Lingerie we never did take pics of yet.
It its black and red so she don't wear it very often.
I washed the hell outa it in the sink and its not leaching any color so its probably safe
for her to wear for a day or two at a time.
Maybe we will get some pics soon and post them

Its good to see some of the older posters are still around with there TBs.
I have been wondering if maybe people are just taking good care of there TBs and
do not have to buy them as often and might be why we do not see many new TBs
being posted like we used to.
I am sure that with Midiman not selling them like he used to that has upset some
people and not as many people here on the forum have bought as many since he
stopped selling them.

That might be the reason. I have one of the original 2006 Babes so they will definitely last a long time.
I have played around with the idea of getting a deluxe model, but I cant say for sure if I ever will since I really don't have the room.
I would love to snag a pre-2012 model deluxe like Katie, but I don't think I've EVER seen one for sale. All the deluxe Babes that I have seen in the sales section have been the newer version. Which are nice, but I've always preferred the older version. So I take that as a sign that everyone who has them is quite satisfied and don't want to part with them.
But at any rate congratulations on the first seven years! I'm sure there will be many more to come.

i think one big reason is TPE dolls have gotten a lot cheaper and have better skeletons for posing then teddy babes. if eighth wonder would put a decent skeleton in them with a fuller waist they could sell a lot more.

Well carlys_guy id have to agree that I have seen some TPE dolls for around the same price as TD Deluxe .
So yeah its very tempting to buy one but also do you want to say goodbye to her in a few years after they fall apart
and dispose of her?
TBs seem to last a lot longer if taken care of so thats a big selling point.
But also I would very much love to just lube up and go to town on a soft TPE or Silicone doll without worry about
getting lube on her.
I use inflates for that and Katie is more of a cuddle buddy.
I have wonder if you could just dip a TB into some kinda rubber to coat them.
They would still be light but water proof and more sexually attractive with a more skin like feel and look.
But would that start to crack and peel off in time lol.
I guess what us doll owners really can hope for is some breakthrough rubber material that last very long time comes
out in the future that can be used for dolls and is not high priced like Silicone is.

At any rate, john1972, congratulations on bringing your Katie this far!

If the only item you've had to replace on her is her hair (wig), then indeed you are taking good care of her.
No lip replacements? No loose seams? No plush-cleaning jobs? No broken joints? If so, that really is good.

In response to Zang.

She has had a few wet rag and soup washes over the years yes.
Just last year I think it was she got the Carpet cleaner sprayed on her in many areas.
Outside of her arms where getting a bit graying look to them .
I don't use lube or anything very often with Katie so not much gets on the insides of her legs.
But when cuddling her you tend to wrap a leg around the top of hers so the tops of her legs
where a bit graying too.
I have seen many worse from pictures of others here on the forum but I am sure they cuddle
with them nightly and have sex and everything so they would get more dirty .
The Resolve carpet cleaner worked ok .
It took multiple times of spraying on and taking a soft bristle brush to work it in good and then
many rinses of the wash rag over and over to get out the cleaner but over all it cleaned her
up pretty good.

I also don't Kiss Katie on the Lips that often and if I did id wipe her lips with my hand or something
after to make sure they are dry.
Moisture is the big cause of the lips going nasty on TBs.
So I just try to keep her lips dry and so far she is wearing the stock set still to this day.
I did order a spare set from 8th wonder when the time comes I have them.

Katie was very firmly stuffed when I got her in fact I was afraid of her splitting open lol.
Over the years she has soften up a lot and still is firm to hold shape good.
Her arm joints are still really good but she lacks a bit of stuffing just on the outside wooden disc
so if you pull her arms outward from her body there is some loose folding kinda that happens up
at her shoulder but very little.
I was debating on opening her up years ago and stuffing some more in there but never did and
the problem never got any worse really so left it how she was

We have been lucky with nails as well , I figured day one when I pulled her outa that bag that
we would lose many nails and have to glue them back on and to this day she has not had
one nail fall off lol.

If someone would ask me are Teddy Babes durable I would say "Hell Yes".
Long as you take common sense into account and take care of them they seem to last a very
long time .

yes John i agree the teddy babes really are a durable wonderful doll really love my three dolls a whole bunch!
Katie is still awesomely cute! One feature that i have grown fond of is their cuteness.
