lol yes and then I become a long-stay guest at my orthopedist! Well.... as you know it best, it just needs finding our gals joints exactly and with some brains then apply the right leverage. Too bad, IT didn´t give us a "how to" on correct posing though. Figuring it out all by oneself can be quite a laborous and partly painfull affair. At last it all paid off and my own bones are still intact.Panther68 wrote:Congratulations Ragnar, you now realize that sometimes to get a doll into a pose, you have to play a game of Twister with them.

Re: My perception of IT 155cm "Izabel" (Jane head)
The forward movement of the waist joint works in reverse to some extend. I´d sat behind her again, my legs around her hip and pressing down her legs. My left arm reaches around to her belly and pulls. My right arm/hand holds at the neck and pushes (fairly strongly). Bit more difficult than waist joint backwards, but it works.

Re: My perception of IT 155cm "Izabel" (Jane head)
Small things do matter much (yes the pros know already). They can change a dolls look and expression quite considerably. Among those I found most useful is:
1. Lighting. It can change a scene dramatically. Beside more the tech stuff like better resolution and less graininess, I also figured that flash/no flash usage does change things quite nicely. Flash appears to work out a TPE´s skin color more, while non flash gives more options for overall coloring and shadow plays if one likes. Various my cams filter settings (though cheap to compare with current cams) give some other nice options on a scenes color and contrasts. I prefer changing any of that in my trusted Paontshop Pro though.
2. Wig Placement. Small changes to the side, or up down gives another good options for changing a doll heads appearance. Particularly hairlines and such oftenly play a major role for getting ethnical looks like AA oftenly having hairlines more toward the top and rear.
3. Eye positioning. I found slightly asymetrical positioning much to my appeal. To me it looks more natural than strict symmetries.
4. Eye placement within the head. Depending on amount of cotton wool one can get the eyes either stick out more frontally or set back in. Can do quite a lot on eyes, as well as facial expressions.
5. Eyelashes. ATM I yet got to stick with her factory ones, although in the meantime they´d already started to detach. New and replacement ones are on my list for next month. Beside the usual thickening techniques (haven´t tried yet), the hard and firm material ones on Izabel allow for slight a bit of adjustment, either up or down. This gives another nice option to adjust on eyes and facial expressions. I usually slightly do with some Q-tips. Other good use for Q-Tips is pinch-pulling single hairs off from the TPE skin, face in particular.
6. Fingernails. Well...the ones on Izabel came off very quickly and after very short time. Once the first 2 or 3 were off, I deliberately pulled off the remaining ones in a cautious manner. This mainly to disguise her multiple broken fingers (at the handplate, not wires) when photo shooting (that odd twists and turns). I can still pose her fingers pretty well, but with nails beeing removed I´m free to pose as I like now.
7. Baby oil and corn starch applications. I use baby oil mainly for removing dirt and such, as well as maintaining. But I also like applying it to small TPE areas where I like it to shine quite a little bit. Put it on with Q-Tips and then smooth the edges by tapping with a paper towel. Since I´m very fine with Izabel´s smooth TPE skin when she´s just washed, I leave her at that. No powdering, since there´s not really any uncomfortable stickiness to it. I just use the corn starch as sorts of expedient "highlighter" similar to the real MU stuff. Or to somewhat even out the recolored areas around her nose and mouth, so these stick out less if I like. Another use off course is toning down some unwanted shiny areas, although the natural un-powdered look on Izabel´s skin looks fairly natural to me. I´ll see if I can mix cornstarch with darker sorts of pigment to achieve even more options. Any hints highly welcomed! Icewind?
...more if something comes in mind. But these are my major experiences as of late.

CinnamonLover is the expert for darkening the powder. I think he does mix cocoa and or cinnamon to the starch.

thanks for the hint! *noted* Off course need to look for bigger quantities (in case I´d like to change all of Izabel´s skin the same time), but smaller amounts might do the trick for just a lil bit of experimentation.dxc wrote:Hey Ragnar,

Re: My perception of IT 155cm "Izabel" (Jane head)
Nonetheless, to support my view and above mentioned experiences I´d like to post the photos here again. Also to show that it´s sufficient to own a single IronTech doll and in fact get as many beautiful gals as you like from your personal fantasies. The beauty is there. Shape it at your leisure!
The following set was my 3rd ever standing pose attempt with Izabel and not quite an easy one. Could´ve been better if I hadn´t solved the waist joint issue just little later. Enjoy!

2 kitchen knifes
a pair of old socks
shiny gift ribbons
bits of wet corn starch powder brushed onto the blades.
Do you prefer buying any such stuff or rather improvise with any means at hand?

like to supplement my post with the pic below for easier reference. PS: Might not be exactly the skeleton my version IT155cm has though.-Ragnar66- wrote:Forward upper body movement on the waist joint

Re: My perception of IT 155cm "Izabel" (Jane head)
hey Bachelorboy The issue with the shoulders was due to my inexperience with the skeleton majorily. That time beeing a complete noob in the matters. Wished I´d the skeleton pic above to my avail way sooner. Wouldn´t have had any issues at all then.bachelorboy wrote:Wow. Izabel is such a pretty doll with an amazing body, Ragnar. I am seriously planning to buy a doll very soon, like in the next fortnight, and the Irontechdoll IT-155 is on the top of my list. Overall, although you had the issue with the shoulders, would you recommend one of these, say for posing, but primarily for "other things"!!!
Bachelorboy.
Posing...I hope the pics and thread speak for themselves. As for "other things", I recommend you to have a look in here (link below). Also check out my previous postings in that thread. In case you have further questions you could also PM me directly. I´m not shy to give you any details you´d like to know about Izabel and the IT 155cm body.
