Are the Valentine Day sales similar to the current sale? I'm considering whether to put down a layaway amount now or if I should just buy straight out at the beginning of March.

Uhm, by Valentine's Day, you'll be paying close to full price. In three plus years of paying attention to the market, Black Friday sales are the best time to buy. If you look hard enough, you will find a vendor who is still listing the Black Friday sale prices. I would move now rather than later.

Black Friday / Christmas are the best times to buy, no doubt. Currently we do have some of the most competitive every day low prices we've ever had.
