Amiga Toy @ http://www.toy-stores-online.com/... STAY AWAY!

Post by mrdudeguyman »

I've been looking for some Chinese dolls I can get in bulk and sell at wholesale, but I like to buy a doll first to see what it's like for myself before I buy in bulk to sell. So I went to Amiga Toy and got a deep discount off the regular price somehow after talking with the merchant there. The doll was supposed to be this very nice-looking doll that I know I would be able to sell like hotcakes:

Image

Image

Now, the first thing you need to know is that those^^^ pictures are photoshopped. How do I know? Because at the manufacturers website (DaioShi) it shows this picture:
Real_Photo.jpg
Real_Photo.jpg (222.74 KiB) Viewed 8455 times
^^^ Notice how the neck seam is there in the manufacturers pic? Notice how the manufacturers photos show a plumper face and different eyebrows?

But no problem, I know these pics are used all over the net for this doll and the actual photos still show a nice doll...

I wait about 17 days for the doll to arrive which was a number of days later than it was supposed to arrive, but whatever. I open the box and this is what I get:
Wrong_Doll_Sitting.jpg
Wrong_Doll_Sitting.jpg (259.09 KiB) Viewed 8455 times
^^^ I get a SITTING doll that looks NOTHING like the doll I ordered AT ALL.

So I contact Amiga Toy with this letter:

Me
You sent me the wrong doll! I feel like you played a bait and switch game, because what you sent me is obviously not what I ordered. It's not even close. I ordered a standing doll here: http://www.toy-stores-online.com/realis ... ng-p-1398/

But you sent me a sitting doll and it's a completely different doll from the one above: http://detail.1688.com/pic/1143958677.html
This is not what I ordered.

You need to either send me the doll I ordered by express mail so it arrives next week, or you need to refund my money in full. I had to wait 2 and a half weeks for this already only to be frustrated to open the package and find the completely wrong item.

Also, you wrote INFLATABLE DOLL on the package! So the mail carrier knew what it was!

You need to fix this situation before you go on holiday, or I'm going to leave a negative review here, tell everyone on the dollforum.com about it and then complain to Paypal to have your account penalized. You can't just bait and switch things on people and expect them to be okay with it. You have to be honest with your paying customers and give them what they paid for.

I can't believe you did this.

-------------------------------

Amiga Toy then asks me to send pictures of the doll, so I do, proving that they sent me the wrong doll.

It's important to note that when I ordered the doll, there was no option for "sitting or standing" like there is now, so obviously a customer is going to expect to get a standing doll since that's what's pictured, right? Well here is what Amiga Toy had to say about it (smh):

Amiga Toy:
"We are very sorry for this, We have check the warehouse of our shipping agent, there are only sitting posture of the doll, also you don't say need the doll in standing posture..."
----------------------------------------

Now I'm livid. This clown is placing the blame on ME for not saying something that didn't need to be said and was never my responsibility as a customer in the first place. That's a STANDING doll being shown on his site, so why in the hell would I expect to NOT get a STANDING doll??? Unreal. So I say:

Me
That is absurd. A customer does not have to tell you they "need" a standing doll. That's not the customer's responsibility. It's the responsibility of the seller to provide exactly what the seller is claiming to be selling. You're showing a standing doll and that's what you should be sending. If you don't have it then you should not be pretending to sell something you don't actually have.

1. The photos on your site show a standing doll, not a sitting doll, therefore your customer expects to get a standing doll. That is what your site claims to be selling and that is what you must provide. That is called honesty. When you give a customer something different than what you're showing you are not being honest with the customer.

2. This doll you sent me is not even the same model as the one you're showing on your site. Diaoshi does not make a sitting version of the exact doll you're claiming to be selling on your site, and I know this because I can see their dolls on their site. The doll you gave me is not even listed on your site.

Now you expect me to send this back and wait 3 weeks for a refund after I just waited 2.5 weeks and got the wrong doll? And you want ME to pay for the shipping too, right? This is insane. You've already inconvenienced me enough.

I am a reasonable person, but I do not take kindly to being tricked and then told it was my fault somehow. No, it's not my fault. I paid for an item and received something completely different. I did nothing wrong here. You need to come up with a better solution than that, otherwise I must do what I informed you of in the first email and it will not be good for business. I don't want to do it, but it appears that you're leaving me no choice.

------------------------------------

This scammer then continues to send other emails trying to rationalize his bait and switch game. For instance, he mentioned in one email that there is a photo there of the doll sitting, he even attaches the photo to the email, smh. But what he doesn't realize is that I have the transcript from a chat we had a few days before I bought the doll where I asked him how the doll was sitting like that and he told me it was just partially deflated but it is a standing doll.

By the end in other emails, this scam artist calls me a "robber" because I don't want to pay the expense of sending back a cheap item to China with no guarantee I'll get a refund of anything (how could I possibly trust them at this point anyway?). I then called him a LIAR (because that's what he is) for showing pictures of an item he doesn't have. I would be better off just selling the doll which is what I plan to do. It's a good doll, it's just not what I ordered. In fact, if I were to post the actual chat transcripts, you'd see that he lied about every single thing about the doll.

The reviews on their site are mostly fake because who would leave a good review for this doll if it arrives looking completely different than what's pictured? No one would of course, but sure enough if you read the reviews they're all positive. I know one person (Puma Uma I believe) bought a different doll from there and it worked out, but he was lucky. My guess is that they have some legit dolls and some they are just doing bait and switch with. Actually, I'm certain that this is what they're doing.

In short, STAY AWAY from Amiga Toy @ http://www.toy-stores-online.com/

P.S. I attempted to leave a review on their site, but surprise-surprise... they have it set up to where each review has to be approved by them before it can post, smh. Amiga Toy = Scammers to the end.

Sorry to hear of your troubles - mrdudeguyman - :?

I have in the past ordered 3 similar type dolls - two from ebay and one direct from China - honest my experience was mixed - and what was presented for sale and what i got were two different things -

I still have two of the ebay air dolls while the one from China is long gone - if i do order any others it will probably be from 1AM as they seem the most honest and deliver what they present without compromise - which for me is nice thing to see -

Happy Trails -

Thanks, Yorktown.

I waited until I could find a reputable review, which I did get from Puma Uma as he did receive the exact doll he was promised. But I guess the company has some legit dolls and others are a bait and switch scam.

I know exactly what you speak of as - i had ordered a doll thru ebay that had looks very close to the doll you portrayed - and what i got instead was a marginally improved version of the original Daio Shi doll - not the one presented by the seller - i was not happy - either

I am at times very leary of these sellers - i sorta kinda knew that jumping in and that the prices weren't crazy high - but still - one hopes that in this day and age - we would have moved beyond these type of tactics - you have pictures doll "X" and instead sell doll "Y" - how much real effort is it to be truthful and explain to your customers we only have doll "Y" right now - some might actually be happier your honest and order again from you - so for want of a sale - you lost a customer and maybe more -

I do have to admit the doll they did send you appears cute though - No one wants the bait and switch - and if you wanted a standing doll there is no excuse for something else - period

Happy Trails -

Exactly, Yorktown. Scammers simply have a different mind than the rest of us. When they get caught scamming they actually take the position of attacking the victim for being scammed, which in and of itself is unreal and arguably insane.

In a situation like the one I described, it's best to just refund the customer's money, but that of course is something a scammer would never do. Scammers will only do the right thing if they're forced to. Under normal circumstances it would make sense to request a return, but to send it back to China will cost almost as much as the doll costs itself, so their request is unreasonable in this situation.

And you're right, it is a a cute doll. It was going to be sold anyway, but what makes me mad is that I'm not able to check out in person what the doll pictured was like. I guess I may just have to bite the bullet and try Daio Shi directly which will suck because I'd have to buy a multi-quantity just to see, smh.

Hi!

The Diao Shi dolls are always presented well clothed and with extra wigs.

If one asks, one can get them supplied with the extra wigs for around $4 extra but you have to ask.

If anyone is interested in a wholesale supply I am happy to give details of two wholesalers, one who does the sort of doll with the face pictured above and the other the type with long face and blonde hair.

Seeing the photo above I have a fear that the boobs of the new Pipedream dolls indicate a Diao Shi connexion and it will be interesting to see the reality.

Of the Diao Shi type, I don't like the bum profile and in particular the arms aren't long enough.

However if you would like to secure reliable supplies for forum members my sources could be helpful - but I have not done so as I'm not enthusiastic about them!

Best wishes

ouch, I'm sorry about your issue man. I had no idea that they did you like that. I Guess i got lucky, my doll was exactly the way it looked in the photo. The one thing i did do was ask multiple questions even the standing and sitting options for the doll. Well that's one doll noted to not buy from that website. :?

I gave you the best information i could with my experience with my doll.

Thanks, Puma. It's not your fault. Your information was helpful.

They do have legit dolls apparently, but this is one they're scamming with I guess. There is another doll there where they had a picture of a silicone version instead of the inflatable version. I pointed it out an they took the photo down saying it was a mistake and they didn't know beforehand. In hindsight, they probably knew exactly what they were doing.

Haha. I know. But check this out... I had a feeling they would pull that scam, so I snapped a shot of the original page before they could make a scamming change to it!

I still think she is gorgeous and I love the sitting ones like this. most teddy babes or any other dolls. that are not real dolls. cant sit worth a crap even when you see others posting pics trying to make the dolls sit. don't let it get you down. she is a angel. super super cute. put some panties on her and fall in love with her. she is precious. I would love her. she deserves it. enjoy her. sorry it is not what you want. but she is beautiful still.
my dream has come true. I finally got a silicone doll. a ruby 13. her name is destiny angel. aka princess destiny.

When you are talking to a scammer who just scammed you, there is no way to reason with him. Scammers are like sociopaths , they don't care. When you talk about honesty and dignity, they would just laugh at you and make you even more angry. They rip people off for a living so they hear those speeches every day. They just don't care.

What they do care about is the future success of their business. Perhaps if you were to threaten them that you are going to taint their name hurt their income, then you would have their attention. Like go on a popular website and proclaim to the public that are a bunch of scoundrels and that you continue to do this until they give you what you want. Or that you are going to hack their website and change a few things for them , you get the picture.
