Under The Bed doll storage - doll surfboard
First I bought a sheet of extra lightweight 3/4" plywood, and had the lumber store cut the pieces for me (no need for a saw). I wanted my doll surfboards to be 18"x72" so any size doll could fit on it, particularly my 169cm Sukiwaai from Sili Doll. I then got some wheel carriages, pre-drilled the holes for the screws, then attached six of those to the bottom. Next I purchased a 1.5" thick foam mattress pad in twin bed size (37"x73"). I folded the mattress pad to make it 3" thick and just used a few staples to attach it to the board. I didn't have to cut the mattress pad, the folded size fit perfectly on the board. Next were some brand new white sheets, then the doll. Pretty simple project. I made 2 of these. I have a "platform" type bed so my new "doll surfboard" easily rolls underneath. I have tile floors but even if you have carpet these wheels have ball bearings and would roll pretty effortlessly even on carpet. Cost me about 75.00 USD to make one of these. This gets my dolls out of the closet in a sitting position to a much better laying down position on a nice soft memory foam mattress pad. Just thought I would pass it along......
Next I need to make a hinged cover so you can't see what's under the bed Concealment is paramount when visitors come over.....

Interested to see if you have any updates.
For hiding them, instead of a door you could use a bed skirt, easy, cheap and natural looking.

Re: Under The Bed doll storage - doll surfboard
I don't have much space under my bed, so I couldn't do that.

Great idea.
