Figma Action Figure Collection - Complete Photo Sets

Today's Figma is another custom one, a variant on the look of #130 Phantasmoon.

The base body from Phantasmoon has a few great points: the extended hip joint, and the larger half exposed bust with a light pink color which matches many other figures. The head from the GGO version of Asuna is added to start her look, followed by the arms from Racing Miku 2011 version for their long satin gloved look, perfect for a model. Lastly the unique hip joint structure has a lot of room to work with, allowing me to attach the large underwear / leg section with attached gun holster from Motoko Kusanagi. The result is a combat ready elf poster girl with a modest hourglass body.

Morning,

Today's Figma is another custom one, this time based on the cute body from #218 Hazuki Mizuhara.

The base body from Hazuki is used as a start, followed by adding the arms and head from Kuroyukihime to create an adult body version of the character. I was going for a cleaner look, so adding the white shoes and lower legs from Phantasmoon dyes the full legs a consistent white color. The end result is a cute and sexy figure, reminiscent of a classic female knight character in anime and JRPGs with heavy armor and black hair.

Today's Figma is a new release for Oct-Nov 2018, this time it's the spear user Lancer from Fate / Grand Order. She comes with three face plates, two full spears, and the standard Figma accessories.

Today's Figma is another hybrid, this time based around the cute personified warship Nagato.

The head from Nagato is a favorite of mine due to the stern expression face plate, but her shy and smiling faces look great with the headband part of her hair piece. After removing the excess antenna and head ornament and painting it with mixed acrylic paint, the head is added to the Asuna GGO body to start the overall look. The arms from Hazuki add a skin tone match and continues the clean white clothing look, with the addition of Hazuki's cape giving her clothing a heavier regal appearance. Finally adding the legs from Racing Miku finishes the figure off with a good body size ratio so her body shape looks consistent though it lacks a good color match. The overall look though remains excellent, matching up to the theme of a priestess with a heavenly smile.

Been practicing with painting and curing for my Figma figures since I like customizing them, new hybrid figures will start showing unique paint details and even recolors if I need or want a little variety.

Here's a quick example, I took the hybrid Asuna figure from a little earlier and added a metallic black finish to match other parts of the build. Enjoy the photos.

Note: The overall process used a coat of baked on charcoal acrylic paint followed by a layer of metallic black acrylic. Excess paint was scrapped off using a crafting knife and then the torso was baked to seal the coating.

Here is a short set featuring Figma 330 Iowa from Kancolle. Practicing using manual focus on close up shots, so none of these photos are edited in any way.

Still look nice though, will be posting a new set of photos with a new figure later today, just waiting for the mail to arrive.

Today's Figma is the very cute Racing Miku 2013 version. She comes with two face plates, racing flag, umbrella (opened and closed), and the standard Figma accessories.

Working on improving my overall photo setup, most of the time even with my full size dolls it only takes an hour for a large photo set which results in nice but not standout pictures. Along that line I used manual focusing and better lighting for this set, with editing only involving cropping and very minimal lighting balance.

Today's Figma is the final version of my hybrid Black Rock Shooter figure, after a few roadblocks in finding parts with good compatibility I've finally found a great setup.

The torso and legs from Racing Miku 2013 starts off the body with a unique armored but alluring appearance. Next the head from BRS2035 is added to create the character in mind, with the arms from Angela Balzac added to continue the off the shoulder look while adding more armored sections and maintaining the white and black colors. Finally adding her weapon from White Rock Shooter completes the look of the Black Rock War Maiden.
