Freakin' AWESOME neesa! Love all the props, the story line, and the outdoors shoots ... F***ing A Dude!

Really like how you use the little "bubbles" for the text ... just like a comic book! COOL!!!

Excellent adventure being created!

Cheers!

:haha4: Yeah, after Oz’s comments my mind wandered to them skinny dipping and the enemy finding them and taking their clothes!

Great shots!

As for pixel size, I think some members load to the doll album or another site then use a link to the photos. That way you can get round the pixel limitation. I tend to use full resolution on my camera then load the ones I want into GIMP and scale them back to the limit of 3600 pixels. For most of the shots it seems better than limiting the camera resolution and loading them straight to TDF.

Cheers, Hollows.

I agree with Mr Hollows. I do exactly the same. My pics all start out at 52312x 2988, however I would like to thank you, TDF size limit was 3600, it must only be a recent increase in size too 3840..
However I have done an experiment with picture quality and upload speed.. (Wont post the pics here..no need)..
But Here is my result..
At 3840 the picture took me 1min.35seconds to upload..
The same pic reduced to 3600 pixels took 1min.18 seconds.
And at the size i am using now in my old camera (coz i broke my good one) using the same pic reduced to 3294, my old camera size, it took 1min. 4 seconds..
But in my opinion it is very hard to tell the difference in quality between all three online inside TDF.
The thumb nails are all the same size, no matter what size you load, it has to be opened to get the benefit of the full pic..
Thumb nails are all 600x 338.
the key I think is always good lighting..
While i am using my old camera with pic size 3294 I am also using the sharpen feature inside photoscape in most of my posted pictures, that makes a big difference. So whatever program you use try using "sharpen".

Hi neesa.
I just got caught up on the entire Action Girls topic.
I LOVE IT.
You really do have quite a fascination for ladies in the military.
I would like to see them encounter more challenges while out on recon.
Dragons seem popular in other threads :D

It may be just my old eyes, but I did find some of the bubbles hard to read.
Maybe consider bumping them up a bit.

You mention ISO speed 800, which is confusing as these are two separate things.
I am not anywhere near being a photo expert, but I usually set my camera to ISO 100 so as to not get a grainy texture, and then use the highest speed setting I can to reduce any blur.
The other experts here can correct me.

Keep up the great work.
Thanks,
scooter

Thanks everyone. I haven't lowered the size on the camera, I've been setting the size to TDF standards in my Paint shop program before I add the speech bubbles.
FYI, I've been working on a Photo Comic Series web site with the story line. It's a lot of work, but a lot of fun too. I'll post a link when the site is ready to launch. And yes, I have many more missions in mind for the girl's and surprises. After this weekend, I'm waiting for the weather to cool down some. This last one was a hot one. :P

i use an old kodak easy share camera only about 3 mega pixels and download them to my computers picture file. when i want a picture in my post i click the choose file space below and the site adjust the size automatically no adjusting needed.

What i realized really soon i posted images with 'speech bubbles', was that regardless how good they look, the text should be readable without opening the full-sized image.

And one word about images: the Doll Album has a very good resize-on-upload function. The quality, compared to what i get when i resize with the GIMP (tried any algorithm) is remarkably better.

Yes, they sure do. I'm hooked now. I blame it on a few of the miniature collectors on here, you know who you are. LOL. There is so much stuff available for them now, and the detail and quality is amazing. The great thing is, you can put them in a back pack and take them just about anywhere for photo shoots without breaking your back or wallet! The good one are expensive but not as bad as getting an high-end life size doll. Warning, once you get one, you're hooked on them and all the stuff you can get. And there are even trade shows with them.
