Next time I rub Quinn down with Baby oil they will fall off, and she can pick out some fresh ones. I got 10 sheets of temporary tattoos on ebay for like 99 Cents canadian which was like 73 cents USD.. Shipped from china of course.

Maybe we should order some of these......

Had seen some of those whether ebay or ali. yep, they were cheap to buy. I spoil my girl enough. she is gonna start taking it for granted.....what's that LuLu???? ohhhh I do do I??? I wont repeat what she said. HMMMPhh, What a way to talk to your personal surgeon, physician, driver, masseuse, salon, manicurist, eye specialist, mechanic, body guard, on and on.... but in a nutshell? Servant!!.... :)
I have a blond wig coming soon. Was never really fond of blonds, They always been nasty to me. LOL. Brunettes and Redheads always the nicest to me...
Fun!!

I'm still practicing with "welding" or "fusing" TPE So I can seal up LuAnnes incision.
Have made a homemade "blade" for my solder iron.(30 watt) It's crude, it's low tech and very nasty looking. But it has been working quite well with the practicing I've done with it. I have to be in a mood to do this sort of thing to get good results :)
LowTech-TPE-Fuser-LoL.jpg
it'll get the job done. Since cutting her open and digging around, doing the other hand will be child's play. But I wont get over confident :)
Just posting this for those in a similar situation. It does not have to break the bank to make work :) and still get a decent result if you are willing to dedicate some time. This hand job all total in labor?, about 4 hours. In thinking about it?? 24/7 LOL Other hand will be less. we know what is involved now.

Still so much to learn.

Thanks again To April, CC, Winterwarbo, Anung Au Rama, Cinnamonlover... and many more!

Could screw just the tube into forearm, and then insert the wires and install in fingers. Could work that way. I just wanted to make sure to secure the wires in a way where they would not spin around in the tube. So that is why the solder points . Crimping the tube secures them as well. But I figured copper is soft and it's easy to kink the wires and they break. 2 birds one stone.
Lots of things could do differently. always!!

Made a better tip. That other thing was awful. In design and in looks :)
This one is like a hot butter knife. And does not "split" the TPE around the area to be fused.
It seems to work well for smoothing out an area. Not perfect but is working better. May shorten it a little bit. For a touch more heat.
In my practice thus far, has sealed up a pocket toy. (Pocket toy? who carries these in their pocket?) :)

Doing this kind of stuff is definitely a craft. Only get good at it, if we do it.... an art form :)
I've turned this hand job into a major project :) I am re-thinking my phone wire finger idea as well. Her replacement is good, but is a bit hard core!! lol

I am sure it is working for you, but being able to control temperature is so important to good and safe repairs on TPE, also please remember adequate ventilation!

Far from fool proof. Not getting much smoke, if any. On the right path anyway. Yes it does smell a lot if it is smoking. I'm getting just a slight puddle on the blade. It's better then the big glob when I first started on my practice with this. :)
Thank you April...

Besides trying to set TPE on fire and having to call HazMat :) I've been playing with my wire :) Not that!! lol. Wire for fingers.
LuAnnes hand is solid!! very!!! I'm pleased with it. However, it is stiff for my girl. You 160 ladies might need a super grip for your guy, but Little LuLu it might be too much for her. It's why I've not been in a rush to stitch up the cut. Been thinking about my phone wire idea more.
I've removed 1 strand of the 4 wires, twisted the 3, then wrapped an outer wire around those 3. Brainstormed a "simulated" knuckle idea in there too.
Concept!! Theory!! making it all work is the challenge.! more crude workmanship and ideas ... :)

Thank you. I love sharing ideas. No matter how off the wall they may be. If we all bang our heads together with ideas, might just make those who just want to enjoy their ladies, and not have to "put them on the hoist" all the time. Manufacturers ought to be paying attention to their bread and butter. (All owners and vendors) and improve things to make them safer and better built. Protruding wires and metal through skin of doll is far from safe.

Hand job is becoming quite a distraction for me. Just trying to figure out a lightweight, but strong solution to this finger issue.
Have come up with a similar idea not a whole lot different from factory. But better materials used and thicker finger all around.
Am trying to make fingers as thin as possible. I prefer twisting the wire rather than using straight strands.
What I removed from LuAnne was 2 thin straight strands wrapped in what appeared to be string coated with something. If pulling hard on this string, it'll cut your hand. I know. it cut me :)
Concept-Finger.jpg
I may goes with this idea in LuAnnes left hand. Nothing is broken, but will replace anyway. Not a question of "if" but "when" it'll break.
As always, any ideas suggestions always welcome!!
To be continued....

Just goes to show, if you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself. Great job, RGC_0767!

I'm always doubting myself. Once it is inside the finger then we know for sure how well it is gonna work. I guess it's not over until the happy dolly sings!!! :)
The finger job I did already makes me nervous. Nothing stopping those stiff wires from piercing through. Does not seem so stiff until it's inside the TPE.
Trying to do it right. more permanent.
Thank you for the encouragement Mr. Franz... My high School wood shop teachers name was Mr. Franz He was a craftsman!! smart man!!

Have decided to go with this idea. and see how it works. This is her left pinky. Sigh!!! only 4 more to do.

When I first got her. I had her hitting the weights. You can see some stress in her eyes! :( Probably was not good for her little fingers
