Looks good. I would get some pliers, wire cutters and similar tools. That hinge bolt may be welded, and you may need a drill to break that weld.
A 1/4" small socket set will be needed.

Let us know how you fair

K. Well i have a Dremel tool. But I'll get those tools also.I am hoping to just tighten what's there back up.

There is a tricky repair I'd like to do. I've used heating rods in my dolls for years with no issues. The ones from Fleshlight were especially good. But, I got a new, junky one that got so hot that it melted the mouth of a new doll mouth. As you can see, below, her mouth melted around the heat rod. I am curious whether I could improve the situation using a heat gun. Specifically, I am curious whether I can make whole sections of a lip flexible enough to reposition with them hardening into, or close to, the original closed lip position. I am open to using filler material, either melted in or maybe getting a TPE patch kit. I am willing to do some lip coloring, too. Any advice is welcome.

The heating rods need more instructions! My phone charger outputs 5 v at 1 or .7 amps. It is just right, just gets warm. My external battery outputs 5 v at 2.4 amps and gets that warmer HOT! I can't hold it in my hand. I'd never use it on the girls.

Warning! Test things out first and try to know what output your power source is using!

Also, I have had very good success healing deep cuts on a spare piece of TPE with Mishka'a method. However, I have had 0% success using a soldering iron. I'm a noob to this but the hot air flow is easy and dependable.

I got this. It's awesome. My buddy( own's no doll) has had one for a year or so and uses it all the time.

Mishka1965 wrote:Today, finally finished a tutorial on youtube regarding repairing TPE damage. I demonstrate 4 different injuries to TPE that can occur, and how easy you can fix these.
What you need is a hot air gun and a temp IR gun to monitor temps as the TPE melts and anneals. I hope you see that this method works quite well for almost all repairs.
So far I can repair any damage like cuts, nicks, abrasions and skeleton hole thru punctures, etc.. Also groin tears and separation.
I do not cover Vaginal/anal rips where extra material is needed. I can cover this in a future video.

Anyway, give this a go, and you may be real happy with the effort!

Sorry for my accent, I'm not an English native speaker, but I try my best :)

Enjoy

Pretty awesome video and job!

Is there a prayer in hell to fix a torn perineum (area between the vagina and anus)?

I would use permatex repair (silicone) I use this on occasions where glue or other methods wont work. Give it a go, you may be pleased. This adhesive is acetic acid based substrate and wont react with TPE. It's a secret method we don't talk about much, but works quite well. Just clean the area well with alcohol so it will cure.

This?

About ready to try it.

Just tried to melt the two sides back together with very mild heat from a solder iron. Held for a second and then ripped apart again. Thinking I literally need some type of glue. Think this is now beyond melting and putting back together unfortunately.

Thanks,

I took more footage of repairs last few months, and it's time for more videos.
Been doing these repairs quite a bit and I really feel comfortable with the procedure more than ever.

Also, got some pro ideas for makeup and that's for another day.

Excellent tutorial, Mishka!! Thank you for that.

Just ordered a heat gun and IR sensor. Now that I have a new body coming for my doll, I'm looking forward to trying this out on the old body. Maybe I can get good at it before the new body needs it. lol

I'm also looking forward to your makeup tutorials. Man, am I awful at that... :P
Anung Un Rama wrote: So you do the heating in the half stressed position with the damage partially open. It is important to ensure the area is also dry and contaminent such as powder free.

Once the heat is applied and the area is sticky and shiny, you then use the limb leverage to return the doll to the neutral unstressed position then feather the surface with the heat gun (rapidly) to smooth the repair and blend it in. By returning the doll to the unstressed position the two tacky semi molten sections of the repair site should then press together natural and start reforming the bond. Once you see this, you can start the blend and smoothing heat application.
Thanks for adding this Anung! I noticed in the neck repair portion of Mishka's video that that was what he was appearing to do and was going to ask about that. But your post answered that quite nicely :)

Thanks all for great feedback. I have another video from a knee repair I just did, and it worked out great (the repair) and I'll work on getting the video online. This heat gun repair goes far in preserving your doll longevity.
