Permatex vs "cold-welding TPE & TPR diffusion adhesive"

Post by Indigo20 »

Last year in December I received emails and phone calls from people asking me about the "PERMATEX Windshield and glass sealant", recommended by some TDF members as "new secret TPE glue".

I checked the safety data sheet and just from reading the chemical formula I knew that this is not working with TPE.
But it makes meanwhile no sense to inform the community with "facts".
Facts that I have given in the past are whiped away with "experience".

So it is necessary to make videos for proof.

Jeff from Booty Call Dolls organized the Permatex sealant for me.

In this video you see the application on TPE test pieces. (by the way, I did this with all TPE blends)
The second TPE test piece is prepared with alcohol, because that was recommended in addition.

And here we have the results after a curing time of more than 24 hours.

Now let's come to something that works guaranteed for 100%

The "cold-welding TPE & TPR diffusion adhesive"

A new development (took me 1,5 years) which works for all thermoplastic elastomeres based on Styrene block copolymers.
Non-flammable, no flammable vapors, health risks at the lowest level (any thinner is more dangerous) and 100% welding power.

In this video you can see that I'm welding different TPE blends together and also TPR.
(Please do not pay attention to the squezzed out adhesive)

In this video you can see 100% welding power.
And as you'll see, the original TPE tears under extreme tension, but not the weld made with the diffusion adhesive.

Check the subforum from "Dollstudio" to the end of the week.
The diffusion adhesive will be announced there.

The handbook for the diffusion adhesive will be available as download in English, French and German language, it comes with 34 pages and more than 70 pictures.
And 4 small video clips for additional demonstration.

I know that many questions will come.
Download the handbook first at the end of the week, and then we can talk about "open questions".

Very impressive work my friend!
I look forward to both the info sheets and availability of the product! Several of my girls are in need of repairs where this would be far better than monkey screwing around with hot welding.
You are the man. We bow to your grace

If this would have been available two years ago maybe I wouldn't be a happy owner of a Realdoll and other silicone dolls now :?

I use permatex to "seal" parts of the makeup and I can attest that it most certainly is not permanent on tpe.

It will stick for a while but stretching completely weakens the bond.

It will peel off with no effort.

It has it's uses for that very reason.
I'm casting my own replacement nipples and as an adhesive it enables the nipples to be easily removed and switched out with other models (small, large, puffy, etc.).
That said, It's useless for things like a ripped vagina or anus. And hot welding is quite a "learned" skill easily messed up.

this is a good idea, considering how it peals off, isnt as damaging from what I seen with mine.

How well does it work as a coating on the lips covered with lipstick? or eye liner. I'm assuming you use it underneath, so it doesnt disappear within the oil/tpe. Lipstick with tpe can be eh, depending on types you use.

I need to repair some fingers, but am hesitant to use the heat gun, so put the camera down and take my money!
