Removing silicone painted lips?

Post by smallcat »

Wanted to remove factory paint. Any clue to go about it?

I'm assuming with most silicone dolls they use same type of paint, to give it that realistic look to them.

your doll is TPE or silicone? as I knew, tpe doll is makeup with cosmetics, it is easy to be removed by gentle cleansing water or olive oil, wipe with a cotton swab, maybe you can try it

For TPE use baby oil. :evidence: Olive oil has been shown to degrade TPE, vegetable based oils are not recommended. viewtopic.php?f=227&t=88739

However, smallcat asked about silicone paint.. I would assume it's on a silicone doll.

EDIT: From what I've read, maybe olive oil is okay(?) on silicone. And acetone seems to be used to clean silicone without negative effects.

Silicone makeup is usually sealed in with a very thin layer of silicone. This can be peeled off if you are very, very, VERY careful. (it will eventually peel off around high traffic areas anyway, lips, nipples etc with use...mileage varies as to how long this takes).

Note, this is for normal factory silicone makeup, NOT as is done by the likes of Sanhui where the actual silicone itself is pigmented. This is 100% permanent.
