Tightening Knees, Ankles on WM Doll

WM158, knees and ankles have been loose for a long time. I read that the nuts are welded so they won't move, some are and some are not. All the nuts were on the inside of the dolls legs, 1/8" incisions were sufficient for the knee joints. For the ankles, the TPE can be pulled away from the heel bolt (with standing feet) and the cloth sparingly cut around the foot plate to allow the TPE to pull back enough to expose the nut. The knees take a 17mm socket, ankles are 10mm.

Dremel tool the spot welds away, then torque the nut a little bit, then use some Loctite 680 retaining compound on the threads of the nut.

I remember Jeff from Booty Call Dolls saying he was able to tighten the ankle nuts without cutting into the TPE.

This suggests just using a shifting spanner on the outside of the TPE.

Has anyone else tried this?
