Cleaning TPE glue from the floor?

Post by catastrophe »

Hi,

I accidently dropped some TPE glue on the timber floor and it became solid within a minute before I can clean it off. I tried various things such as rubbing alcohol, Vaseline and heat but nothing is working. Any thoughts on what I can use to clean it off? I was thinking about using thinner but my friend told me it'll damage the timber floor.

Thanks in advance.

Acetone may do it, not sure if you are saying wood floor like real wood plank flooring. If it is a real wood floor not laminate you could sand down that spot with a orbital sander then refinish. That in itself can take skill to get it to match the rest.
