Small Little Holes on Hands

Post by DollLover4Ever »

I wanted to know anything can be done fixing small little holes on TPE hands? It like 1 to 2 mm diameter and about 1 mm deep. There many of them on both hands. Also anything can be done to prevent this?

That's bizarre, could you post a picture? Did she come into contact with any chemicals?

The TPE repair thread discusses using heat to soften the TPE, something like that may be better repaired chemically or disregarded if it isn't too horrendous.

It might be possible the perfume that i spray might got small traces on her hands.

Here what it looks like

I used a heat gun to repair a hole on her wrist but fingers with a heat gun I found was a little harder to work with as it easier to melt if not careful.

That was dissolved by a chemical, it looks just like my acetone experiments.
You may be able to steal some TPE from inside the neck like I did and dissolve it in acetone to make a filler but experiment on a hidden spot or another piece of TPE first.

I probably would not use a heat gun for this repair but a low wattage soldering iron with a smoothing blade attached... :glou:

My approach is to gently wipe the affected area with a soft cloth dipped in white spirit then leave overnight to dry.

That's a really good idea, maybe apply the solvent with a makeup sponge or Q-tip. Still better to test inside the neck first.

Thanks for all the advice everyone shared. I will go with the soldering iron option as I own.
