Cosmetic Skin Repair/Eyelash Adhesion?
Cosmetic Skin Repair/Eyelash Adhesion?
Well The inevitable happened, Tanya's back broke. The allen head screw at the top of her hips worked its way through the lower back bracket. I could not believe the small flimsy washers they use here. Ah well, after a trip to Lowes, for some beefier washers and allen head wrenches, I can never find them things when I need them. She is all fixed. I had some cosmetic questions.
Will the repair kit from abyss help cover the appearance of the scar? What skin tone is she? Medium? Can I make this stuff myself. I have had good success painting he nips/lips with Silicone and Naptha(for thinner) and lipstick for shading, the powder stuff tends to dry our the 'paint' and it looses it's adhesion. What would you use for tint to make the medium color?
What should I use to attach the eyelashes with? I was thinking loctites all surface might be a good choice, The normal human type eyelash adhesive doesn't work worth a hoot, I haven't had much luck with the silicone either.

Sorry to hear about Tanya's back. I had to do the same repair on Phoebe.
If you use only the clear adhesive to seal the cut it will show. The effect will be like looking at a pane of glass edge on. For the best cosmetic repair, seal the cut in two parts. The inside 1/2 of the cut is sealed with clear. Use a very thin layer of clear, as it will flow, and you don't want to seal the cut completely. Once this dries you should have a shallow split on the outside to apply the two part tinted. Details of this type of deep cut repair are here,

I can't tell you what skin tone your doll is, but Abyss should be able to if you have her doll number. If you don't, you can send them a small strip of the silicone from the back of the top of the neck and they can match it for you.
Patience is more important than skill in getting a good cosmetic repair.
