very nice result
The world's definitive resource on love dolls and erotic dolls for adults since 2001.

I have not encountered the problem with any of my dolls. (However, some high-resolution close-ups of Rebecca, made in 2000, taken with a large format film camera, show surface damage to her face invisible to the naked eye. Factory paint make-up became much more durable within a few years.)muzza wrote:With all your dolls have you ever experienced similar face peeling or flaking of the seal as I have had with Natasha, Noni and Cami?
I wonder if it has something to do with the constant warm and relatively humid ambient conditions where I live.

What did you use as matting powder?muzza wrote:...the edges of the peeling were sealed and 'matting' powder used to blend & stop shine with ever so careful dabbing just before full cure. (As instructed by the manufacturer)...
Well if you are using the Psycho Paint, all it is is a clear layer of Silicone so baby powder will remove the shine same as it would on any other surface of the doll.muzza wrote:Gosh, this is a long time ago that I started this thread.
Silicones have changed a little, product availability has become more widespread and I have lost touch quite a bit since then.
But yes, Psycho paint maybe an option. I have not used it myself but Oleg of Anatomical Dolls recommended it to me some time way back.
All my dolls have had face seal peeling problems but, speaking with Everhard none of his has so I don't know if it is just luck, weather conditions, or whatever but once repaired the problem is very infrequent and indeed more difficult to fix.
As far as the matting is concerned, Synthetics sent me a small unmarked packet some years ago which I still use from time to time to take the shine off repair work. I have no idea what its product name is - sorry.
I am sure manufacturers and distributers can assist with any enquiries. Or just google 'Matting' and there is a mountain of information out there.

Of course. Did yours not come with eyelashes?Does anyone use eyelashes?
Yes, small flat paint brushes ..... Lots ...... to apply the flowable silicone adhesive sealer and to get into hard to reach places during tear repairs.Do you use brushes? if you do use brushes, how many do you own?
eyeliner is black silicone adhesive or clear silicone adhesive with black powder mixed in.What about eyeliner, mascara?
