Wigs

Post by Gary1124 »

What are some good tips to make a wig stay on more securaly? I have a cheap 100CM doll (she is adult body) but the wig moves and often comes off. Very distracting if it happens during sexual activity. Please post tips or link threads concerning this.

Thanks

Wig cap + safety pins

You can put a couple of wig caps on or put a layer under the cap to make the head a little bigger which can help with the fit and look too

idk about wigs for smaller sized dolls but there should be some clasp on the inside of the wig that you can adjust to make smaller, thats how it is for normal sized wigs. and yes use a wig cap or wig band and if all else fails and you dont mind it just pin the wig to her head with some sewing pins preferably the kind with the little balls on the end.

If your doll is only 100 cm, her head also should be small.
You can measure the head circumference , and look for BJD wigs (ball jointed doll), for a head size of around 12-13 inch. A wig of perfect size shouldn’t fall off easily.
You can find them on the usual sites, Aliexpress and similar

Some folks have used velcro to hold on wigs.
Attach one part to the skull, the other to the wig. You can use dots, parts of tape, etc.
An alternative is to attach the only hook (hard) part to the skull and see it that alone will hold.
In some wigs the wig underlayment catches on the tiny hooks and holds well.

A lot depends on the doll head (hard, soft, TPE, silicone, etc.) and how firm and permanent you want the wig.
In all cases it is doubtful that you can attach it firm enough to be able to grab her hair like reins and ride her cowboy style. :)

Cheers!
